Tossing and turning on her bed, (Y/N) sighs, staring at the ceiling. Glancing at the clock on the side of her bed, she groans. It was too early to be awake, yet her mind wouldn't stop running.

Turning to lay on her stomach, (Y/N) rests her head on her pillow, grabbing her phone.

Staring at it blankly, she opens it up, her finger hovering over Rin's number. His contact stared back at her, which was a picture of the two back in Australia. They both had on silly star shaped glasses grinning. She held up a peace sign while Rin held the phone out for a selfie.

As she had stared at the small picture, it grew larger with her ringtone echoing through the room. Sitting up, she wraps the blankets around her shoulders and hits the answer button.

"Hello?" She asks, pulling the phone close to her ear.

"Wow, you answered that fast," A familiar voice replied in English. "I thought you'd still be asleep."

She sighs, glancing at a poster on her wall. "I was actually about to call you."

"Oh, call me?" Rin teases."That's the first"

"Ha ha, very funny Rin." Snuggling into her blankets, she holds the phone close to her ears, shutting her eyes for a brief moment. "I met that one swim group you used to speak of so much. Apparently, they started a club at school, and Kou is the manager."

"Oh really, how did that go?"

"Well, at first, I thought they were a girls swim team-" She was cut off by Rins laughter on his end. Her eyes opened slightly as she glared at the picture of the two she had framed on her bookshelf from when they were younger. "Shut up! I thought it was because Kou was the manager, and I didn't think a girl could manage the boys' high school swim team! Like that dumb excuse teachers give with it being a 'recipe for disaster' "

"Yeah, yeah. Okay. You can tell yourself that to feel better. But what does that have to do with why you were going to call me?" He questions through small giggles.

Rolling her eyes, her gaze softens as she glances at the blankets pooling around her. She could hear shuffling on Rin's end of the phone signaling he was moving around. "Well, I got to hang out with all of them at the beach yesterday and see them all swim, and it got me thinking…"

"Uh, oh. I think I can smell the smoke from here. " He chuckles."Don't think too much. It's not good for you."

Letting out a groan of annoyance (Y/N) lays back tossing her hand over her eyes as she holds the phone close to her ear.

"Rin," She whines out annoyed at him teasing her. "Stop it. I'm serious!"

"Okay, okay." He replies. "Continue."

"Thank you." She huffs."As I was saying before, you rudely interrupted me. I got to see them swimming for the first time at practice, all but Nanase, since I was focusing on helping Ryugazaki. You know he really was struggling to keep his head raised at the right amount, and was a little stiff, but I guess he's improved a little. I'm sure with time, he will get a lot better."

"(Y/N), you're getting sidetracked." Rin reminds her.

"Right, right. Anyway, I got to see Nanase swim at the beach yesterday, and it was beautiful…" She trails off, looking out the window to the now rising sun. "He's a really good swimmer, like you had said."

"And?"

"And what?"

"I know you wouldn't call to talk just about that. There is more on your mind, " He reminds her. (Y/N) takes in a breath of air as she pauses. He was right. Once again, he had read her as if she were an open book. Despite not being beside her or in the same country, he still knew her so well that even the distance couldn't stop his skills.
