Abhi's decision to accept the engagement with Riya is not made lightly. The weight of his mother's emotional manipulation and the pressure to meet family expectations hang heavily on his heart. He knows that this choice may bring short-term relief and approval from his mother, but it also means he must suppress his true feelings and love for Kunj.
With a heavy heart, Abhi prepares himself to fulfill his familial duties, a decision that threatens to create a rift between his own desires and his loyalty to his family. The road ahead is uncertain, but for now, he has chosen to follow the path set by Maya, his mother.

The evening breeze rustled through the quiet rooftop of the college as Abhi and Kunj stood facing each other, their faces tense with the weight of their impending conversation. The sun was setting, casting long shadows and painting the sky with hues of orange and pink.
Abhi took a deep breath, his voice shaky as he began, "Kunj, there's something I need to tell you." He hesitated for a moment, searching for the right words. "I'm engaged to Riya. It's an arrangement my mother orchestrated with her family, and I've decided to go through with it."
Kunj's eyes filled with confusion and sadness as he tried to process Abhi's words. "Engaged? Abhi, what are you saying?"
Abhi's gaze remained focused on the distant horizon. "It means we can't be together, Kunj. I need to fulfill my family's wishes, and this engagement is crucial for my mother. I can't go against her."
Kunj's emotions bubbled up, his voice laced with a mix of anger and despair. "So, what, Abhi? All those moments we shared, all the times you said you loved me… Were they all just a lie?"
Abhi couldn't bear to meet Kunj's eyes. He clenched his fists and responded with a forced coldness, "Yes, Kunj. It was all a lie. I never truly loved you. I only got close to you to hurt your ego and get my revenge."
The words hung in the air, and Kunj's heart shattered into a million pieces. He couldn't hold back his tears any longer, and they streamed down his face. In his heart, he knew Abhi was lying, but the pain of the moment was unbearable.
Kunj stepped closer, his voice trembling as he demanded, "Say it, Abhi. Say you lied. Say you still love me."
Abhi hesitated, the internal battle evident in his eyes. He desperately wanted to reveal the truth, to confess his love for Kunj, but the weight of his mother's manipulation and the engagement forced him to continue the lie.
He gently pushed Kunj away and walked toward the door, unable to look back. "I lied, Kunj. It was all a lie. I don't love you. It was just a game to get back at you."
Kunj slid down the wall, his sobs echoing in the empty rooftop. His heartache and the feeling of betrayal overwhelmed him, and he clung to the cool concrete for support as he mourned the loss of the love he had cherished.
Abhi, too, left with a heavy heart, unable to bear the pain he had caused. His steps were heavy as he descended the stairs, leaving behind the person he loved, carrying the weight of a lie that was tearing him apart.
