The rest of the day sucked. My Best friend Lizzie was out sick. And I nearly fell asleep in every single class. But there was only one more class left, English. I hate the class but I love the teacher. Her name is Miss. Davis, and she is the best teacher ever. Her class is so easy it's almost impossible to fail.
I sat in my desk and waited for class to start. We have about eleven people in the class. "All right students, we are moving on to a new chapter" said miss. Davis. I hope we move on to something more interesting than urban legends. "We will be discussing about...fairy tales!" She exclaimed. I heard just about everyone groaning. I felt like groaning too, but I didn't. "Now, now this will be exciting!"
She pulls out a bunch of books from the shelf and hands out different fairy tales to each student. "All right listen up, each of you will have a different fairy tale story. Your job is to read it, and then make a poster board about the story you read. I haven't decided what day it will be due, so it would be in your best interest to start now." I looked over to see what stories people got for their projects. "Snow White", "The Princess And The Pauper", "The Wizard of Oz"...

I waited to see which book Miss. Davis assigned me. She put the book on my desk and gave me a smile. CINDERELLA was written on the cover.
Nice Miss. Davis, you just had to pick THAT one!
Miss. Davis has no idea my life's like Cinderella's. Because both of us are similar.

1. We both have evil stepmothers
2. We both have evil and idiotic stepsisters
3. We do ALL the chores
4. We are both ignored
The list could go on and on. But there is one thing Cinderella has that I don't...a happy ending. I raise my hand and Miss. Davis walks over to me. "Yes sweetie?" She asked. I look at the book and held it up. "May I have a book that doesn't mock my life" Miss. Davis looks at it for a while and then looks at me. She smiles and leaves. I knew what her face said. It said do it! I love Miss. Davis and all, but I don't feel good about this project.
When class ended I threw my school stuff and the book in my bag and hurried to my bus. When I opened the school doors, I accidentally slammed the door on a guy. I realized who it was. Jacob, the most popular guy in the school. I remembered what he asked me this morning on the bus. He grabbed his head and looked at me and said "whoops, I didn't look where I was going" I felt so embarrassed I ran to my bus. Again I could here people laughing at me. I hopped on the bus and sat in the same empty seat. And closed my eyes, and waited for the embarrassment to end.
