"Adorned with smoke on my clothes

I'll pay the price, you won't"TW: SOCIAL ANXIETY!
At least that's what I thought I was going to remember about this day, but maybe I might have to add leaving in the ambulance too.
The crowd before my eyes intensified as Kiaan and Aakib took the dance floor. They said the crowd would be minimal in competitions and it was in other competitions but that's not the case right now. I regret not telling Vanie about my social anxiety.
Honestly, I wanted to enjoy the performance like others, but my anxiety didn't let me have that luxury.
Cold sweat trickled down my forehead, and I keenly sensed the tremors as the crowd erupted into cheers. Despite attempting deep breaths, nothing assuaged my unease. Gradually, the voices around me began to recede, drowned out by screams. The once-beautiful surroundings now seemed menacing, suffocating me as I struggled to catch my breath. Just as I felt my balance slipping away, someone grasped my elbows, preventing my fall.
"What's wrong?" It was Evyaan who steadied me. He held onto me for a moment giving me time as i regained my senses before he realised grip. I straightened myself and drew in a deep breath, but he continued to regard me, as though awaiting an explanation.
"I think I lost my footing," I stuttered. He eyed me sceptically, yet surprisingly, he didn't press for further details. Instead, he redirected his attention back to the performance.
"They're killing it, aren't they?" he asked, glancing at me. I gulped as the crowd and screams grew louder. Taking another deep breath I closed my eyes to steady myself and I stepped backwards.
When I opened them a few seconds later, I found Evyaan's gaze directly on mine. He lowered himself to my eye level, blocking my view with his broad shoulders.
"Can you fix my hair, Samayara?" he asked, closing his eyes.
"You know, Samrudh..." I could barely hear him as his voice faded due to my anxiety, but his presence offered solace. I reached out, my hands trembling, to adjust his soft locks. The scent of his icy cologne cut through my nerves as I inhaled deeply.
As my nerves calmed, I smiled at Evyaan. "You know, the boys were just being annoying outside..." he continued talking, but I was still too scared to register his words fully. We stayed in that position for a while.
"Done?" he asked, opening his eyes but maintaining the same position.
"Yeah," I replied, unable to meet his gaze directly.
"Is it looking good? At least look at me and tell," he insisted, his black eyes and beautifully long lashes making it challenging to look at him.
"You look smashing hot," Vanie chimed in, returning with three drinks in hand.
