"Get back here, Dumbo!" Eve followed Evyaan as he sped up his hoverboard.

"No," he said calmly, turning back from a distance. "It's my house too. You can't just barge into every room like a creep."

"Says the one who was tormenting the little girl," Eve shot back, glancing at me. I buried my face in Prii's neck, wishing I could vanish into thin air.

Evyaan smirked, completely unfazed. "First, ask her if she actually dislikes being tormented like that."

I peeked out just long enough to glare at him before pressing myself harder against Prii.

"I swear to God, if she gets pregnant before marriage, I'll kill you first and then bring you back just to make you take care of her—while torturing you every single day," Eve said, grabbing the nearest decoration and hurling it at him.

He dodged, laughing, while I shrank even further.

Eve had caught us making out in the kitchen. I had warned Evyaan that we could get caught, but he's been relentless these days.

The second he finds me alone, it's like he loses all sense of self-restraint. And honestly? I don't mind. But this was exactly why we stopped going to the reconstruction building.

Even he agreed that I shouldn't be walking around looking flushed and messed up like that—yet he's thick-skinned enough not to spare me.

Not that I'm complaining, but studying and spending time together has become my way to decompress these days.

And Spending time with him had become my escape, my sanctuary.

When Bhaiya told me I should pick up a habit to decompress, I had simply said, meeting my friends helps—but deep down, I especially meant him.

He just knows exactly what I need and want at the right time. That's why I've been coming to the penthouse earlier than the others. Sometimes he teaches me how to use a hoverboard or play chess.

Other days, we just cuddle and lounge around—him trying his best not to jump on me.

That day was clearly not today.

"Should I call an ambulance now or wait until she smacks his head?" Samrudh muttered, watching the scene unfold with mild amusement.

"Call it now," Aakib replied dryly. "It might take a while to get here."

"Yes! Yes, Eve, go for the head!" Kiaan cheered as Eve locked Evyaan in a headlock.

"Wait! He'll fall!" I shouted, panic rising as his hoverboard wobbled dangerously.

"Already fell, Angel," he grinned, effortlessly jumping off just before losing balance. But Eve was faster—grabbing him by the ears and dragging him toward us.
