As the shots rang out, Finnick yanked her down, and hurriedly used his body as a shield to protect her, his eyes scanning the scene. Peacekeepers were now returning fire to where they'd rung out from,

"Come on!" Finnick called, his arm around her as he led her around a deserted corner. People were scrambling to try and get away, some failing and getting caught in the crossfire between who she could only guess was rebels and the peacekeepers. Fear consumed her, she knew the districts hated her but someone trying to kill her was new.

"Finnick..." she whispered, tears filling her eyes, he looked back at her after checking if they were safe.

"Hey... oh you're okay, I promise I won't let you get hurt..." he pulled her into a hug, her tears spilling into his shirt, he tried to calm her but it failed. After a few minutes, the shooting stopped, Peacekeepers ran over to her,

"Miss Snow, you need to come with us. Well take you to the house to collect your belongings then we're leaving for three" she nodded, she looked up into Finnick's eyes and he offered her a small smile.

"I'll see you soon...." He tucked some of her hair behind her ear, smiling ever so slightly, "okay?" Once again, she shook her head,

"I don't... I can't..." he sighed and cupped her face in his hands,

"Princess, you need to, I promise it will be fine" he smiled, leaning closer to her. Her eyes widened and her cheeks flushed red, her heart began to beat faster,

"Miss Snow! Come along this instant!" Priscilla half shouted, Cassia sighed and bid Finnick goodbye before leaving him once more.

She took his clothes from the house, wanting to keep ahold of them.

Her journey to three wouldn't take too long but she wasn't scheduled to have a meeting until morning, the teenager remained in her room, wrapped up in her blankets. Tears spilling into her pillow, Finnick's voice in her head, attempting to soothe her.

"Dinner is being served Miss Snow" Priscilla announced, quieter than usual, Cassia nodded and slipped out of bed and followed her to the dining car.

Priscilla attempted to start serval conversations at dinner but Cassia remained silent, trying to figure out what happened.

She was in her head for most of the visit to three, but luckily she had enough sense to communicate well with the children and gather a plethora of information and their lives. She wasn't allowed to stay long, just long enough to have a brief tour and meet the children. For her own safety, she was told.

Two, she was there slightly longer. Enough time to have a meal there. And enough time to sneak a conversation with Enobaria.

"So people actually shot toward you" she questioned, folding her arms in annoyance, looking angry.

"Yeah, but Fi.... I got out of there" Enobaria smirked, Cassia had turned a bright shade of red,

"You and Finnick Odair are an interesting thing Cassia" she commented, Cassia rolled her eyes, "I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next in this little saga"

District one's day was much the same as her day at two. School tour. Talk to children. Eat food, have a brief chat with some of her friends. Cashmere and Gloss just continued the teasing she'd experienced from Enobaria. Cassia didn't understand, why was it such a big deal she had a friendship of sorts with Finnick Odair?

That afternoon, they returned to the Capitol. Cassia was greeted by a crowd of Peacekeepers who escorted her home. Once she walked int through the doors, her father ran to hug her.
