Chapter 18- Puddles of melted ice cream

Cold... Despite being made of ice cream Aisi still felt cold, that wasn't the worst thing yet, she could barely breathe, she might have gotten away from the human but she still was injured and quite a lot. But it doesn't matter to her now, all she needs is to get back to Yuki. She knows she's ok, it would be unlike her to risk anything, with that little hope she tried to get back but she had to admit, she was lost. As she spend most of her life in the cafeteria she really had no way to know where to go.

Back in the cafeteria Yuki was sitting by a table, but maybe saying laying would be more accurate, she was staring off into distance deeply in thought.
She didn't notice as Mary came into the cafeteria.
"Yuki, are you ok?" she asked.
The ice cream feline snapped back into realty as she quickly answered "Yeah! I am good!".
But the human wasn't confused but decided not to push.
"Ok then... I just wanted to say that... I can't really come by as often due to Ashley... She's becoming more suspicious of me so... Y'know..." Mary started explaining.
"We get it, better report it to Bloom rather than us." Coffee joined in into the conversation.
"Right!" Mary answered and dashed out of the cafeteria.
"Oh... Alright..." Yuki whispered, Latte ignored the whole thing, yet Coffee seemed worried as he noticed Yuki definetly wasn't feeling good, he went up to her.
"Hey Yuki? I've noticed you... Dozing off more, did anything happen?" he asked.
"You ever wondered why there's so little sprinkekits here...?" Yuki replied with a question.
"Now that i think about it... You're the only one i've seen since... You know when..." Coffee responded.
"Yes... That's the point... I... I..." Yuki started panicking before she could explain.
"Hey hey hey! Everythings going to be ok! Just tell me what happened when you're read..." the mochi tried comforting her.
The sprinklekit tried calming herself down, once she felt ready she started explaining.
"Ok... You know... There used to be quite a lot of them... The numbers were too big so they killed a bunch of them off and even more of the conecats... But that's not the thing that worries me... The longer we stay here the less sprinklekits there are... And recently i've seen some mint chocolate chip trail of ice cream... I know only one of them and from what i know she could be responsible for all that..." she managed to explain it all this time "And i'm scared i'm next." She finally finished.
"Yuki... Look, whoever that freak may be I won't let her near you, you're safe here... Well, not exactly but you know what i mean!" He once again attempted to comfort her. Yuki forced a small smile, she didn't want him to worry much.
"Thanks Coffee..."

Yet, in the deepest corners of the freezers two bright eyes were shining, staring back at them, with anything else of her barely visible a mint choco chip sprinklekit stood, she is back....

Some time later... The cafe was closing, humans as always ended plenty of innocent lifes, yet this time it wasn't Yuki's biggest problem, she keept on seeing a trial of ice cream, not strawberry, but chocolate and mint...
Yuki, decided to this time follow the trail, but first she wrote a note and placed it on a counter in case something happened, since both Latte and Coffee were sleeping it was the best time for something like that.
Then she followed the ice cream, she wasn't ready but she knew that no matter what the same thing would happen, and since it was unavoidable she wanted to speed this up so it would be over already.
She got into the freezer room, the trail led into one of them, the ice cream feline had no other choice than open it, so she did, but to her surprise nothing was there, suddenly someone pushed her in there, she tried hard to not make a single sound, it may have hurt but not as much as when she looked up and saw a familiar face. This isn't going to end well...
"M... Minty..." Yuki mumbled
"Well, who do i have here? Finaly... I have to be honest Yuki, you managed to hide from me for a long time..." Minty addmited.
Yuki was full of fear yet didn't bother to do anything, she accepted her fate.
"So... Any last words?" Minty asked.
"Why Minty, why...? I thought that as your sister you'd spare me... But it's obvious you want, I trusted you!" Yuki snapped.
"I said last words not last monolouges, i do not care that we're same blood, we were never there for each other anyways!" Minty didn't bother to answer then, she knew what to do...

In the morning Coffee and Latte woke up
It wasn't a long time since Coffee discovered the note Yuki left, now he hoped it was some sort of prank, he looked for her around the cafeteria only findig a small puddle of melted strawberry ice cream. He knew what happened, but he also knew he couldn't just leave it like that. He had to get rid of that sprinklekit, but how? She didn't leave anything that could lead to her and roaming is way to dangerous, but he had to figure something out.

Coffee left the freezer room.
"Coffee-" Latte attempted to talk to him.
"Not now, i still need to... Process things... I... I can't believe she's really dead... Yuki... I... I promised her yesterday..." Coffee said.
Latte decided to not say anything and seemingly for no reason looked at the entrance and now she spotted someone else... As familiar, a conecat.
"Aisi!?" Latte explained which brought the attention of Coffee too, then the conecat ran away.
"What... Where is she going!?" Latte ran after the raytraxian with Coffee following leaving the cafeteria completely empty.

Minty was still in the freezer room, in one of the freezers, she decided that now's the time to leave, she went up to the door and peeked trough it to make sure no one's there, she looked left then right, no raytraxiana in sight, it was perfect time to leave the room, just as she found the note, right there on the floor, Minty decided to read it and once she did, shd felt mad that Yuki snitched on her like that, no one was supposed to know! She heard footsteps so she knew it was the best time to leave, she went back into the freezers and then rushed out once the coffee dragons returned. She could hear them muttering something about someone named Aisi but she couldn't care less to eavesdrop. And with that the first phase of Minty's plan has now been complete.
