I sat facing daryl, brushing the hair out of the way which was shielding his face, "You suit longer hair," I gave him a warm smile, he didn't respond but he nodded slowly and gave me back a half-smile.

"Everyone, this is Aaron.. we took his weapons and gear.." Maggie stepped into the barn with Sasha along side her, also with a taller man who had short brunette hair and who was wearing a blue coat. He looked peaceful, harmless, but you can't trust anybody in this world.

Daryl stood up immediately pulling me up with him and shielding me from the man, as if he was keeping me from harm. I scoffed and stood on my tiptoes, peering over Daryl's shoulder to take a look at the man.

"Hi.." Aaron said with an awkward smile on his face. "Nice to meet you.." He looked around worriedly, probably intimidated due to the amount of us in a group, all carrying weapons and most of us with dried blood smeared on our clothes.

"He has a camp nearby, wants us to audition for membership.." Sasha replied, causing me to furrow my eyebrows and squint at the man.

"I think you would all make valuable auditions, but it's not my call. It's my job to convince you guys to come back with me. I know, if i were you I wouldn't go either but just please give us a chance. Sasha can you please give rick my bag?" He politely explained.

Sasha nodded to Aaron and stumbled over towards Rick, passing the heavy bag to him which Rick scavenged throughout.
"Front pocket there's an envelope," Aaron added, rick pulled it out when Aaron began to speak yet again, "There's no way I could convince you to come with me just by talking about our community, that's why I brought photos. I apologise for the camera quality, the one we have is quite old and-"

"Nobody gives a shit," Daryl cut him off, looking the man up and down with his eyebrows furrowed. Still keeping me protected behind him like Aaron is going to attack.

"You are absolutely 100% right," Aaron responded his voice no longer shaking with fear as he grew his confidence towards us. "There's no way that you would come not knowing if it was safe, the walls.." Aaron continued to explain while I subconsciously zoned out, just staring at the man's face.

Rick began to walk towards Aaron, stomping his foot with every step and then he immediately punched him in the side of the head, causing Aaron to collapse to the ground. A small gasp escaped from my lips, causing daryl to turn his head to me and ponder if I am okay.

"Search his bag, we need to see who this guy really is.." Rick ordered, scratching his beard as Michonne began to complain to him.

"We need eyes in every direction, they're coming for us. We mighty not know how or when but they are," Rick wandered around the barn, looking each and every one of us waiting for us to nod in response to the leader.

We all stood spread out in the abandoned barn, each of us exchanging worried glances to each other as rick paced back and forth with only one thought in his mind. Aaron.

We peeked through the gaps of the barn walls, in attempt of spotting any people or vehicles or any sign that Aaron didn't come alone. Although it was strange that he's offering us a home, he seemed like a decent guy. The pictures he shown, the walls stood tall and reinforced, people strolling down the streets and the heavy supply of food and water was shocking.

A miserable groan echoed from the other side of the barn, I peeled my eyes away from the outside view and stared towards Aaron. He slowly attempted to sit up, but struggled since Rick had handcuffed his arms behind his back and tied him up.

"You're being cautious, I completely understand.." Aaron gave a slight smile and nodded his head towards rick showing a sense of understanding. I almost felt sorry for the guy as he was just trying to help his community and ended up getting knocked out.
