It was bad enough working in a bakery with karens, but being an assistant is probably worse.
Working at Cyber Tech is like highschool all over again. Gossiping girls who point and laugh. I just have to navigate my way through the waters o...

"I want you to move in with me."
Rhys, sitting across from me in the small cafe sipping from his drink, chokes on said drink. Okay, so maybe that wasn't the best approach. But I've been thinking about it for a while, longer than I probably should've.
With my aunt wanting my house, if I show her that I have people living in my house, and that I plan on having a family in that house, then she'll back off and let me have my house.
Before he can reply, I'm rambling, "I know this is early, but I've been thinking that since, you know, my aunt wants my house, I-I could tell her to back off now that someone is living with me and that I want a family with you— I mean, with someone, in that house. And I thought it'd be easier, and I want to live with you, but i-if you don't want to, you don't have to, and—"
Rhys's hands fall on mine, stopping my words. "I would love to move in with you."
"You sure?" I scrunch my face. "I mean, I don't want you to feel pressured or anything, I just—"
"Naomi," He smiles at me, laughing slightly. "I want to live with you."
"Really?"
"Yes." He brings my hands up, kissing the back of them. "Quick question," He holds a finger up. "Do you have a passport?"

"Oh. Em. Gee!" Penelope squeals, shaking me. "I can't believe it! A romantic getaway to France! Who would've thought?" She grins. She called me to hang out, and I already had Maya with me, so we both came over.
Maya sits at the end of Penelope's bed, eating out of a tub of cookie dough ice-cream. "Imagine the sex."
Penelope grimaces. "Eugh. I don't want to think about that."
"Oh, yeah. I forget he's your brother sometimes."
"Did you guys just completely forget the fact that he's moving in with me?" I glance back and forth between the two.
"Hey, at least now he doesn't have to drive back and forth to his place and yours just to have sex." Maya comments with a mouthful of ice-cream.
"Can you stop talking about sex?" Penelope grimaces.
"I'm just saying." She shrugs, holding her spoon and ice-cream out.
I roll my eyes. "Did I jump the gun on this one? I mean, is it too soon?"
Maya mumbles another lewd comment as Penelope answers, "I believe that it doesn't matter the time so much as if you two are ready. I'd say you two are ready."
"You sure?"
"Yeah!" She nods enthusiastically. "I mean, look at you two. You two are hopelessly in love and you've gone through almost falling out of an elevator, being kidnapped, and almost dying. I'd say that's a win."
