Six months later...
Pushing the curtains open, I'm greeted with a wonderful view. The room grants an amazing view of the eiffel tower. "They really weren't lying when they said the honeymoon suite had the best view." I turn to Rhys, who walks to me after setting our bags on the luxury, king-sized bed.
"Well, it's a good thing we have this for a week and a half." His hands wrap around my waist, pulling me to him.
"I can't believe we're married." It feels like a fever dream. It was only just last month we were planning our wedding, being fiancés. It feels like everything has changed yet nothing at all. Both at the same time.
We would've gotten married sooner, but we had to figure out what all was going to who. Me and Rhys now share the company, with me as one of the owners.
"Mm," He pecks my lips. "Well, you better believe it. You are officially Mrs. Croyso."
I giggle. "That's gonna take a little getting used to." His wrist watch pings and he checks it, tsking and sighing. "What is it?" I ask.
"I have my meeting to get to." I frown. "But I want you to take my card and go out. Buy whatever you want, and I should be back by five."
"I still don't like spending your money." I state, my hands falling to his shoulders.
"Technically, it's our money now."
"You know what I mean."
He takes one of my hands, opening it and placing the card in my open palm. "Take it. Buy yourself something." He raises his brows, urging me. "And maybe me." We both chuckle. "If you don't want to spend something on yourself, then spend it on Lindsey, or Maya, or Eira, or someone. I don't want you to stay cooped up in the hotel while I'm gone."
I sigh. "Fine." I point a stern finger. "But don't be expecting much."
He smiles. "I would never."
I kiss him. "I'll go get dressed." Then I step away, grabbing an outfit and walking to the bathroom to change.
"Hey, Naomi, I have to get going. I'm leaving my card on the bed."
"Okay!" I call to him, slipping on my sundress.
"Bye, I love you."
"Bye, I love you." I echo. I slip my hair up into a ponytail, a few stray pieces framing my face. I apply light makeup before I walk out. I put on my sandals, grabbing my purse and sunglasses. I make sure to grab the card Rhys left on the bed.
I wonder how much is even on this. I don't want to spend a lot of money, but I at least want to know the limit.
Stepping out into the sun, I enjoy the warmth before I set off for the plaza. On the way, Penelope calls.
"Hey, Penny." I smile.
"Hey, sister-in-law. That's so fun to say." I can practically hear her grin. "How's your honeymoon so far?"
