"jiwooo" I heard yunah call my name
"yeah"
it was just me and her in the room.
"you know how you're realllyyyy good with secrets..."
"what do you wanna tell me?"
"so basically heeseung has a crush on jiah and he told me not to tell anyone but the boys know and i really wanted to to tell one of you guys cause i can't keep my mouth shut so yeah"
my heart dropped at her sentence. he likes jiah? ive never told anyone but i may have feelings for heeseung. actually not may, i definitely do. my face went blank.
"jiwoo?" i snapped back into reality
"hmm yeah?"
"what happened?"
"nothing"
"you sure?"
"yeah" i fake smiled at her. soon after, i couldn't hold it anymore. quickly excusing myself, i made my way to the bathroom where i burst into tears. is this how heartbreak feels?

my bad for the trust issues but i background check everyone new in my life. im a mafia, what do you expect?
"sir, min jiah- born on 13 june 2003. her parents own 'min enterprises' and it seems like their company's doing quite well these days. she went to the same primary school as miss yunah and they've been friends since. but, when jiah had to leave to america, they were just 8-9 years old. its kind of suspicious how she came back now, since her family was doing way better in America than here."
"why did they leave in the first place?"
"her dad needed money. the business was going shit and no one was helping. he thought if he went to america, where his parents were, they'd help. they did, but unfortunately passed just a year after, leaving all their fortune to their son. sir, there's also something here about XX."
he handed me the document as i quickly read where he was pointing to-
'business deals with leader of black roses, supporting violent acts against the XX group. police filed criminal offence, but paid way out of it.'
shit. how am i meant to get heeseung, yunah and all of her friends away from this jiah girl.

~narrator pov~
jungwon decided to tell the other boys first-
"what?"
"but they seemed so close?"
"how do we get heeseung out of his little love dream then?"
"guys we should just tell him. there's no way out of it. we can't expect him to be okay, but you know we have to" jay said.
after a few minutes, heeseung walked in with a smile plastered onto his face. however, it was immediately wiped off when he saw his friends aura.
"what's wrong guys?"
"heeseung, we have something important to tell you."
"its better if you take a seat bro"
the boys turned to jungwon, as he was the only one who could tell him.
"min jiah isn't who you think she is. her family works against us, with the black roses."
a tear fell out of heeseungs eyes. he was overwhelmed. the girl he loved, turned out to be the girl he couldn't ever be with. but he had other concerns.
"so then why the fuck does she come near my little sister? we need to protect yun then."
the boys were shocked as they expected heeseung to be heartbroken, but instead, he stayed a protective brother.
"how do we tell yunah?"
"jungwon, leave it to me this time. you just focus on what her dad wants exactly." heeseung said before running out of the house. jungwon was about to go after him, but was stopped by jay.
greed and desire. the two are familiar in human nature. but how far does one go, to the point where they betray family-like friends. people come first. people whom you've loved and cared for, the ones who you've shared the endearing memories with. but, in the end, we all blame human nature. but is it? its a choice. you let go of all those cherished moments you've held in your hearts for years, over a little problem. or you're mature enough to handle it all, and you continue that relationship. greed and desire is more powerful than we could all imagine. so don't let go of those you love easily, because regret is the worst feeling one can endure.
