The Stolen Heart

Erica pov:

It was an ordinary day in which I was leaving my office. I work as a police captain but sometimes I work as a secret spy and earlier I was asked by the FBI to spy on a new museum that is opening tonight because we were informed that there would be thieves. Time has passed and I found myself on the roof of the building in front of the museum, my partners and also best friends Nadia and Melissa were there with me. We carefully watched our surroundings to limit any danger.

A couple of hours passed and we thought that there would be no danger so we got off the building and got ready to leave. We were about to get in the car when I heard a noise near the corner of the museum.

"I'll be right back." I said to the girls and then I walked to where the noise was coming from.

I arrived at the corner but all I saw was just some birds. I was relieved and I was returning to the car but then I saw a strange person on the museum's roof. I quickly ran to my partners and told them to follow me.

We entered the museum and then heard a big noise coming from above us. We looked and then saw the chandelier falling on us. We ran as fast as we could and were only left with some cuts from the glass. I looked at my partners to see if they're okay and then I saw the thief that was wearing all black it had gloves with paws and a mask with cat ears. Then I figured out that the thief is a girl. We named her "Soft Paws" because of her clothes. She stole a painting so I ran after her, I grabbed her arm and then I saw that she has a tattoo with a cat. She looked at me and I saw that she has some green beautiful eyes. She started running again and managed to escape.

I was angry that I didn't succeed in catching her. After that we went to the hospital to clean our cuts because the glass from the chandelier has cut us pretty bad.

The next day we came back to the museum to talk with the owner to see if they had seen something or had any clues about what happened last night. They said they didn't so we asked them to show us the camera footage. The camera system was being cut at that time so we figured out that she has a partner.

They returned to the police department and Erica told them about Soft Paws' cat tattoo and asked them to search for all women that have a tattoo with a cat. They found some women in the country that have that tattoo so they didn't wait for long and left to investigate them.

The first thing that she did is that she eliminated those who were old because the thief was pretty young. They remained at 7 women to check. They left and checked the women to see if they were Soft Paws. They went to all the girls but none of them were her so they gave up.

Erica was frustrated because the thief could be really dangerous and she didn't know her next steps.

The atmosphere was calm for some days and they did usual cases in the city.

One day they were in their office when they heard Sir John talking with someone. They were curious and then they heard their door open. Sir John, their boss came into the room to talk to them.

"I want to inform you guys that tomorrow I'll introduce you to somebody so I want you to behave well."

"Okay sir!" The girls said while standing up and bowed to him in respect.

The girls were curious because Sir John usually doesn't come to them in person to inform them unless it's about something important.
