When we got to the house, Lace was about to kick the guys out, but I told her not to since Tristan and I needed to let them know what we found out. The look on everyone's faces when they realized that Tristan was Lewis's brother was hilarious. I couldn't help but chuckle telling everyone what a small world we live in.
Jean Luc knew his sister very well because he wasn't ready to leave he had already ordered food and delivered it. Since he had ordered enough for us, we let them stay and enjoyed our dinner before kicking them out. Luce watched the boys leave and smirked as soon as she saw them pull out. "The good thing is Dad just bought the house across the street. It will be at least a week before the boys can move in."
I raised an eyebrow at her. "There is no way my dad is going to let those yahoos stay in an unmonitored house. Just like this house, my dad will ensure it is fully loaded with video and audio surveillance in all the main rooms." "Realy, yep, there will also be external video surveillance. My dad does not skimp when it comes to our safety. He also doesn't believe in the whole bull that guys don't need as much protection as girls. Nowadays, you never know."
Heather nudged me, wiggling her eyebrows. "So, now that they are gone, what is going on between you and Tristan?" "Nothing I was sitting in the quad reading, and he came up to say hi. Scared the bejeezus out of me." They all chuckled."Since I had been there a while, I asked if he wanted to get a drink, and he agreed, so we went to the cafe. He mainly wanted to get to know me better since he is Jean Luc's best friend and figured since I live with you, Luce. He figured we all would be spending a lot of time together." "Yeah, keep telling yourself that. So, how did you figure out that your ex was his brother?"
"It was Tristan." "Ok, so how did he figure everything out?" "I think it was when I mentioned Melody's name." "Wait he didn't know her name." I giggled "Hello you guys, never let me say her name. Plus, I gather that since I never brought it up in front of Tristan, Jean Luc kept his trap shut." "Yeah, that is my bro he won't divulge a secret unless it is to protect a person he cares about."
"Well, he asked for my ex's last name, then her's from there he put two and two together. He told me he suspected that my ex was his brother Lewis. He explained how he doubted that what his brother was saying was true since their grandparents had cut all contact and are planning on cutting them off." I watched them all nod."So, I showed him the number I had for Lewis's grandparents, and he admitted that it was his grandparents' phone number."
Luce was practically bouncing in her seat. "From there, he called them and asked them why they were cutting off his father and brother to find out what I had been saying. He then told them he met me and from there he gave me the phone and sure enough they were Lewis's grandparents. They are so happy that I met Tristan, and he can help protect me from all the crazy that is going on right now."
The girls were giggling "Girl I think someone is going to start playing matchmaker." I shook my head."No, I am so not ready for a relationship." "Who said it has to be now? I bet your ex's grandparents love you and are so happy you met the good grandson." Heather giggled."I bet they are hoping you will still get to be part of their family through Tristan."
"Stop, you guys." Joellen looked at me."So, what exactly is going on back home now." "Well, my mom has offered $5,000 for my address." I looked at Joellen "Hey don't worry about my parents. They hate what Melody and Lewis did, especially the fact that your mom knew they were having an affair. Luckily for you, the only people who know your address don't need the money."
"Wait, I thought you were strapped for cash." "I am even though my parents have money, and $5,000 is what my mom spends in a week quite often. They didn't want me to go away for school. So, they told me that if I went away to college, I was on my own. Turns out they were hoping I would marry to help the family business."
