23. VACAY FUN

"She didn't get a chance to turned out she had Satan listening to the convo, and he well went ballistic.  Told me that you were a selfish little whore.  He also said your mother agreed with him and that is when I completely lost it.  I let him know that you are not a whore.  If he wanted to see a whore try looking closer to home considering he lives with two.  He said that there were no whores living there since you left.  I laughed and told him considering my daughter is a virgin and your daughter admitted to having sex with my daughter's ex-fiancee that makes her a whore.  Not to mention his wife who had been cheating on me with him."

I watched my dad smirk "What did you do?"  "Well, I told him she claimed she never would have left me if she knew how much money I made.  I then asked him if he was sure she wasn't cheating on him since she can no longer spend all his money because Melody is doing that now that she doesn't have all the accounts at the high-end boutiques."  

I laughed "Let me guess he demanded you open the accounts again."  "Yep, and I reminded him that I was going after him for all the money those two let his daughter spend when they knew it was for you."  I laughed "I bet they are so freaking out right now."  "Yep."  "Anyway now that we know your mother is losing her mind what have you been  up to this past few days."  

"We have been helping Fleur prepare the house for Mindy's niece and nephew.  At night we all go out dancing.  So, Dad where are the little ones?"  "Oh, Marcel and Jean Luc took them up to their room since they were sleeping."  "I hope they don't freak waking up in a strange house."  "Don't worry they will be together plus they know we are staying here.  Mindy took pictures of the room to show them in case this happened.  So they know what the room looks like."   

"OK, so how are they doing after everything?"  "They were happy to see Mindy.  Especially since what the foster parent fed them was the first food they had in days.  We also found out that all the clothes Mindy had for them her sister sold.  She did let her sister know that she would not be giving the kids back.  We were able to get them to sign over full custody to Mindy.  So, as of yesterday, Mindy is now their legal mother."

I smiled "That is good to know.  At least I was lucky in that aspect I was fed and even though it was used clothing I had clothes."  "True, but now that I know everything that will never happen again."  My dad hugged me pulling me close as I snuggled into his arms.  "I know Dad.  I am sorry I didn't tell you sooner what was going on.  I didn't know the accounts were mine."  "Don't worry about it.  I spoke to my lawyer and since your mother knew the accounts were meant for you she will have to pay back every cent."  "Oh, boy are they going to freak."

Before the kids woke up I told all the adults about the Lego Discovery Center I had found.  Everyone was willing to go especially the guys.  I did look at Mindy and told her we needed to go shopping because I was sure they would need swimsuits.  Since Charles had a pool."  The good thing is it was an indoor pool and heated so it didn't matter that it was in the middle of December.

Once the kids were up we took them shopping and bought them a bunch of clothes, undergarments, and a couple of swimsuits.  I told Mindy to get her niece a tankini so that it was easier to get her dressed.  Once she realized that a takini covered everything she got herself one.  She loved how it was two-piece but looked like a one-piece once it was on.  We also got them tennis, and dress shoes, and because those little rascals loved mine and Tristan's boots we got them a pair.  I even insisted that we all get swim shoes to protect our feet from the bottom of the pool.

I knew better.  Since the bottom of pools is usually porous so it isn't too slippery it can tear up your feet.  That is why sometimes you will get blisters.  We stopped off at the Independent on the way home to have dinner before making it back to Charles's place.  We started washing all the kid's clothes only to have the housekeeper take over.  Insisting that she had to help the little angels.

The next day we took the kids to the Lego place and I believe the guys had more fun than the kids.  It was funny watching all these grown men fighting over Legos.  Unfortunately, Mindy's niece didn't have fun at all.  She didn't like playing with the legos.  The next day we took her to ride a carousel and Boston Franklin Park Zoo.  After that day we all were exhausted.  We hit another restaurant and we all went to our respective houses.

When we got back to Charles's house Little Amy asked to speak with me.  I was worried that she was upset that her Aunt was dating my dad.  Boy was I wrong.  She asked if her Aunt and my dad got married did it mean I would be her big sister.  I almost started crying with how touched she made me feel.  She then let me know that I didn't have to keep trying to fill our days with fun activities for them.   

When I asked her what she wanted to do she admitted that she wanted to learn how to cook.  As for her brother Daniel, he wanted to play catch with the guys.  The smile she gave me when I told her I was pretty sure we could manage both had me feel all warm inside.  Once I told the rest of the gang we all headed out to our local supercenter. 

The guys beelined it to the sporting goods section while we ladies went to pick up ingredients to make gumbo.  Since Fleur was from New Orleans and she knew the kids lived there she figured why not give them a taste of home.  I was excited because this meant even I got to learn how to make good gumbo.  I also picked up some peanut butter, quick oats, sugar, and milk.  I was going to pick up vanilla extract butter, and cocoa powder but Fleur said she already had some.

I planned on teaching Amy how to make Chocolate unbacked cookies.  Once we got home Fleur started on the gumbo.  We all watched as she added each ingredient.  Once she was done with the ingredients that needed to go in right away because they take longer to cook she covered up her pot and let it simmer.  She did admit it wouldn't be ready till dinner so were were going to have pizza for lunch.  While she was ordering the pizza I got to work on the cookies.

I let Amy do most of the work.  I would measure out the ingredients and then let her dump them into the pot.  The look on her face when I told her we didn't need a bowl was so cute.  I explained to her that we were cooking the ingredients hence them being called unbaked.  I watched her closely as she mixed the milk, butter, cocoa, and sugar until it was completely dissolved.  Next came adding the vanilla then the peanut butter.  Once the peanut butter was melted into the mixture I had her add in the quick oats.  I did give her the measurements which she wrote down.  I let her know that depending on where you live you have to adjust the quick oats accordingly. 

So, I taught her what it felt like when stiring to have the right consistency.  Luckily I had the girls lay out parchment paper and we all proceeded to scoop out the mixture to let it cool and then clean up.  We finished just in time to sit back and enjoy some pizza with the guys.  While we were eating the guys told us about how their game of catch went.  Of course, Amy had to make all of them try her cookies.  

I was so proud of the guys since they all told her how delicious her cookies were.  Eventually, we ended up at the pool and enjoyed each other's company.  It was funny watching Amy with Jean-Luc.  It was very obvious she had a little crush on him.  Didn't help matters that he would blush when she would tell him how handsome he was.  She even asked him to be her boyfriend.  When he told her he was Heather's boyfriend she said OK.  Then smiled big and asked him if they broke up would he be her boyfriend.

She was so cute.  Jean-Luc being the great guy that he is made sure she was able to sit next to him at dinner.   The rest of the night she kept following him around and trying to cuddle with him.  She was just to cute.  Little did we know that Daniel developed a crush on Fleur.  We didn't realize it until Charles tried to kiss Fleur and Daniel got mad telling him to stop kissing his girlfriend.  When Charles told him she was his wife he shrugged telling him that he was taking her away from him because he was cuter.

Those two kids were just too much.  On the way home we all kept teasing Jean-Luc about already having a backup plan if things went south with Heather.  He would glare at us and smirk telling us not a chance.  Boy we are going to be having fun with those little devils this break.
