He smiled. "Good to know, and I promise I won't tell the guys. I warned them following you ladies was a bad idea." I smiled up at him as he reached up, brushing hair out of my face. "There that is better." I looked over at the girls and saw all the guys around them. Chuckling "So, you left the gang to save me?" He shook his head."It wasn't my idea. Marcel sent me since I am the only one in the group single. He said if he danced with you, he would feel as if he was cheating on Cindy. Even if it was just to rescue you from the octopus."
Nodding, I just continued to enjoy the dance. I really liked how it felt to be in Tristan's arms. Yet I know that I am not ready for a relationship. Even though I knew for a while that I was being stabbed in the back by my fiancée and stepsister, I still needed time to adjust to being single yet again. Plus, I also need to adjust to being disowned by my bio mom.
Heather scared the crap out of us when she told us it was time to go. I hadn't realized that both of us were lost in our own world and that neither of us noticed her approach. She giggled "Damn you two must really love dancing." I just nodded."Yeah, I always loved to dance. That was one thing my ex never really wanted to do with me."
The three of us walked off the dance floor and headed to the door where the rest of the gang was waiting. Lace looked at me. "If you are going to make it on time to orientation tomorrow, we need to leave now." I smiled at the guys and told them all goodbye, giving Jean-Luc a hug since he insisted as well as Heather. Turns out Jean-Luc was taking her home. I found out on the ride home that Heather was dropped off by her mother since she is terrified of driving.
Poor Heather was involved in an accident in high school, and even though it was not her fault since her brakes failed, she is reluctant to get behind the wheel anytime soon. So, she has to be driven everywhere she goes. As for school, she is attending online courses through one of the many online colleges. Once home, we carried in all the stuff for the Keurig and set it up so I could have my cup of coffee in the morning.
We were also pleasantly surprised that they not only washed all the dishes. They also dried and put them away. Took out the garbage from all the service settings, cleaned the stove, wiped down all the counters, swept, and moped the floor. I giggled. "I didn't mean for them to even wipe down the damn refrigerator."Yeah, I think this was Marcel's way of apologizing for the joke. He admitted that it was a reaction since their step-siblings from their father's marriage were never made to do anything. It was all up to him and Jean-Luc on keeping the household chores done plus working the farm."
"Oh, I didn't know it was that bad."Yeah, it was when their father wasn't around. When he was there, the stepmother would clean, but otherwise, it was all them." "I take it that was one of the things he caught on camera." "Yep, she claimed it was her kids that did all the household chores, so they didn't have to help out on the farm. He was not happy when he found out his children were being treated as slaves." "Wait what do you mean?"
"Turns out the money the boys were making for working the farm that wicked witch would make them give half to her kids. She tried once to make them give it all to them, but when they asked for money for gas to go out, she knew she needed to let them keep at least half." "Damn Bitch. If it wasn't for the fact she would get busted she would have continued making them give her all of the money." "Yep, well goodnight. Please don't tell the boys about what I told you. I am pretty sure Jean-Luc will tell you in time." "No, problem. Goodnight Lace.'
I know myself all to well and since I wanted to wash away the smell of stale smoke and that idiots scent I took a quick shower and jumped into bed. I know myself all to well and if I don't go to sleep soon I will be a grumpy bitch in the morning. It is one thing to wake up when I want to another thing waking up to an alarm.
