Lin was feeling bored and hungry. She went to the kitchens and asked if she could have a job there while she was without a mission. "Sure! What's your speciality? Starters? Desserts?" The head chef asks. "Cakes mostly." She said. She hopped over the counter and started to measure out ingredients to make her mock lizzy's signature cake. She made it to the exact detail that lizzy would use. She cut it into slices and took one to Komui. She saw that he was giving someone orders and waited patiently. The guy walked past her, glanced at her and nodded at her. She nodded back. She went in to see Komui. "Hey Komui. Would you like to try my latest cake?" She asked. "I won't say no to free cake." He replied. "Komui, would you be my chief cake taster? You would get to taste all of my cakes before anyone else." She said. Komui smiled as much as he could with a mouthful of cake. Lin smiled and walked out.

She woke up again. She walked out of her room and went to the room where she heard the singing. She could hear it again faintly. She sang her melody and waited for the reply. The melody that followed hers was minor and made her feel like the person wanted to be left alone. She hummed her goodbye and returned to her room. She took out some paper and began drawing. This time she drew something that she had never drawn before. At the end, she hid the drawing. She tried going back to sleep.

Lin walked to the science department. Komui smiled at her and invited her in. He then gave her a mission. "Thank you Komui." She said. She returned to her room and changed into her exorcist uniform. A backless black shirt with short sleeves and a short black skirt. She hid a knife in her belt. She needed as many knives as she could carry and access to activate her innocence. She collected her bag that was never unpacked and went to leave. She webt to the boats and sailed out to the nearby harbour to catch a boat. She hopped onto a boat and travelled to France. There had been reports of strange happenings and she was sent to investigate this.

She got off the boat and walked to the town where the strange things had been reported. She immediately felt the presence of an akuma as she entered the town. It saw her and ran. She chased after it and took it down with her frying pan. She pulled out a knife and sliced her hand. This caused her palm to fill up with blood. She manipulated it into a small knife and threw it at the akuma, hitting it straight in the face. "You're free now. Go, rest in peace." She said to the soul she freed.

She stayed in town for a few days and she started to notice the odd happenings. At night, crowds of people would go to the town hall and stay there for a brief time and then a flash of light would go off and they would leave. She followed the people to see what was happening. What she saw, horrified her. A child was lying on a table dead. Her mother was crying beside her. Lin spotted him. The Earl. "I can bring her back. Would like that?" He asked her. Lin stayed at the back of the hall. "Bring her back. Please bring back my baby girl." The woman begged. "All you have to do is call her name. She will return in this body." He said. She looked down at her daughter's body. Lin couldn't take it anymore. She ran to the woman and said 'don't do it'. But it was too late. She had called out her name. "Mummy, what have you done! I am an akuma!" The child was distraught. The mother was beside herself with shock. Lin re-opened her wound and touched the akuma. " No! What are you doing?" The woman asked. "Freeing your child from its torment. She will hurt people if she stays in that form. She won't be able to stop herself from doing it." Lin said. The woman saw that she wanted to help her and Lin removed her hand from the akuma. Lin turned to face the Earl. She pulled out a knife and threw it at him. He disappeared in a puff of smoke. She walked out of the hall and left to go back to the order. "Wait! Please. Thank you for freeing my daughter." The woman said. Lin smiled. "Don't worry about it. Just be careful not to fall into that man's temptations." She said. She hopped onto a boat and went back.
