It was Lin's birthday. She woke up and went into town. She found some people playing cards. She asked to join them. They said yes. They were waiting for someone else to join them. Allen sat down in the empty chair. The cards were dealt. Both she and Allen had a winning hand.
After a few minutes, both of them had won the money and other items in the middle. They split it and went their separate ways. Lin went to the pawnbrokers and saw a familiar face. "Benny. Why are you here?" She asked. "I came for business purposes. Us meeting is just coincidence. Happy birthday." Benny smiled. Lin pulled out her wares and gave them to him for assessment. Benny gave her a look. This look said everything. It said 'I thought you gave this up, you'll never change, you've got to stop this.' Lin rolled her eyes. He's one to talk. He said he'd give up the pawnbroker life long ago.
Benny paid her for her wares and she left. She went back to the order and went to the dining area to find a banquet waiting for her. Leenalee hugged her and said 'happy birthday.' Lin smiled. She never had anything like this before. She was so happy. She ate, drank and made merry. Afterwards, she went to go and see Rene. She sung her tune and Rene opened the door. She pulled Lin inside and shut the door. Lin stood there as Rene and a wolf inspected her. Rene saw her wings and said 'happy birthday.' "How did you know?" She asked. "I've met someone else who is like you." She replied.
Lin was then kicked out. She went to her room and pulled out her sketch pad. She drew everyone at her party. What she needs are colouring pencils. She stays in her room for a bit and then goes out. She went to the library. Or at least tried to. She got lost and found herself in a garden. It had cherry blossom trees, apple trees and a pond. The pond was covered in lillypads. A few had water lillies. She sat at the base of the blossom tree and slowly drifted off to sleep. Cherry blossoms made her sleep. She used to have a small bundle of the flowers under her pillow when she was young. They would stop her from having bad dreams. She pulled out a little bag and climbed the tree. She plucked a few blossoms and put them in her bag. She pulled off a few leaves, turned to face the trunk and dropped out of the tree, only to land in Lavi's lap. She blushed scarlet and shot off of him like a rocket.
