Lin longed for another moment with Lavi. She longed for his embrace and for thier eyes to meet again. He was away on an assignment and she was awaiting orders. She promised Allen and Lavi cake for when they come back.
The boys returned and Lin was waiting with her famous chocolate cake. She sliced it and gave two of them to Allen and Lavi. She hugged both of them and left for the garden. Relieved that Lavi was safe, Lin went to hers and Lavi's blossom tree. She waited for him under the tree. He turned up, out of breath. "Had to lose Allen." He said. She shook her head and smiled. They knealt on the ground. They kissed beneath the tree.
