"Coryo! Coryo!" Tigris stormed into Coriolanus's room, opening the door with force, and only the air that entered his room, and how strong it was, woke Coriolanus up as he had just seen a nightmare. His eyes were widely opened and there were no signs of sleepiness as Tigris had taken away all of it in seconds. He watched her standing there, her eyes filled with tears and full of worry.
And then he realized.
"No no no no." He pushed himself quickly from the bed, running to his grandma's bedroom, Tigris following. She was lying in her bed, hardly keeping her eyes open and waiting for her favorite grandchildren. "Grandma, what happened?" He approached her bed, sweat dripping from his forehead even with cold weather like this.
"I am okay son," She wiped with her weak hand away all the sweat from Coriolanus's forehead. Tigris was standing in the corner of the room, salty tears falling from her eyes to the floor. She couldn't imagine her grandmother passing away, not today, not tomorrow, not until she was buried right next to her. "Grandma is-" She coughed "I am a little sick-" She coughed again "I will get better don't worry." A tear streamed down his pale skin but his grandmother wiped it immediately. "Your mother didn't give you those eyes to cry Coriolanus, you are a powerful man."
"Take some rest grandma, and I will call a doctor." He kissed her forehead and made his way outside with Tigris. They went to the kitchen where the cell phone was, trying to find a doctor around the Capitol but everyone seemed too busy to answer the phone. Many people around there suffered after the First Rebellion as it brought, except from hunger, very serious diseases too.
"I can't find anyone dammit!" Coriolanus slammed his palm on the counter with tension and Tigris felt the vibration even though she wasn't touching the wooden furniture. "What are we gonna do Tigris?" He shouted and Tigris flinched terrified. He could be really scary when he was angry even though she knew he would never hurt her.
Coriolanus rested his head on his hands, tensing his shoulders back and trying to think about anything. Any possible solution. Tigris approached him slowly, resting gently a hand on his back trying to calm him down. Instantly, Coriolanus hugged her tightly, burying his head on her shoulder and letting out all his fear and pain. She hugged him back. The bond between these two was a gift. When they had no one, they had each other.
"I am so sorry, I am-" Coriolanus sobbed in Tigris's arms, while she was rubbing his back with small circles trying to calm him down and make all the anger wash away. "I-I just imagine losing her, only the idea Tigris-"
"No Coryo, I understand, trust me." She released herself from him and cupped his face with her hands, resting her forehead on his. Through the silence that existed inside the house, their breaths were the only ones someone could hear if they entered. "I will try my best to find anyone who can take care of her and don't let her leave like that, she doesn't deserve it."
