Sadako

Y/N POV

"Welcome Y/N, I see it is your first day on the job?", asks Jihyo.

"Y-Yes! I hope you can guide me through what I've got to do"

"Sure I can! But first, let me introduce you to the work team. Follow me"

Jihyo brings you into the laboratory where you find the team working away at their stations.

"This over here is Jeongyeon. She is responsible for keeping the work team productive. She is also the head of the research team. More importantly, she is my right hand"

"Nice to meet you. You must be Y/N"

"I am, nice to meet you Miss Jeongyeon"

"Woah! Is this the new member?"

A girl peaks her head over.

"That over there is Sana. She is the assistive and system manager. If you need any help, she will be happy to help you"

"I hope we can get along well", Sana smiles.

"Finally, this is Nayeon. She is responsible for taking care of all of the equipment in the laboratory. She also works as apart of the research team"

You look down at the Nayeon who was working away at her computer.

"Hi, it's nice to meet you", you say but you receive no response.

"Sorry about that. She is very work driven. Nayeon!"

Jihyo shakes her which finally gets her attention.

"O-Oh, hello. My apologies"

"No, it's no worries. What are you working on that's got you so worked up?"

"She's collecting data on a recent item that the research team found in the forest up in the mountains. A tape to be exact", Jeongyeon explains.

"A tape?"

"It's said to be cursed", Sana adds.

"A cursed tape? I think I've heard of this before... But I don't exactly know what it is"

Jihyo nods to Jeongyeon.

"Research team!", Jeongyeon yells out.

A group of five people run out and begin setting up a projector.

"This is my team, consisting of Momo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu. They will catch you up on the details as you will be helping us. This will be you first task. You guys may take over"

"Yes ma'am"

The projector switches on.

"Recently, our team discovered a tape labelled, 'Sadako's Curse'. It is a cursed tape said to bring death to whoever watches it", Dahyun explains.

"Long ago, there was a girl named Sadako Yamamura who possessed psychic powers in which she inherited from her mother", says Momo

"Psychic powers?! Those exist?", you ask in shock.

"Yes. And because of her powers and her inability to control them, everyone feared her. It came to a point where she was a danger to society", said Tzuyu.

"I can understand why they would think so, but how does that correlate to how the tape is cursed?"

"Well one day, while Sadako was on her daily walk, she encountered a strange man who suddenly attack her. People suspected that her father sent this man after her. She was chased deep into the forests where no one would be able to save her. That's where she was murdered by the man and thrown into a nearby well said to be located in the middle of that forest", said Chaeyoung.
