Final Chapter - Community

"My name is Park Jihyo. I am 19 and have just dropped out of college. I needed to move to a more isolated location. I am running from the police... I like to keep my motives private. I needed to isolate myself. A calm place with a few neighbours. So I moved to a small community trailer park."

It has been a day since Jihyo had arrived to her cosy trailer. 

She arrived early yesterday afternoon and had been busy unpacking all of her belongings that she fell right to sleep after finishing.

When she woke up, she felt a sense of relief that she hadn't felt in a while. After all, this was a fresh start for her.

"Ah... Home sweet home. From now on, this is where I'll be staying. It is very different to any home I've ever lived in, but I think it'll be great to experience this. I should go introduce myself to the neighbours."

She opened the front door and stepped outside, taking a deep breath of the fresh air.

"Greenery. I'm usually trapped in a small apartment in the city. This is quite nice."

She walked down the stairs and headed towards the road where she looked both ways and saw other trailer homes. 

"Wow. This is a nice neighbourhood."

She headed down the street and noticed a woman walking out from her trailer beside hers. 

She cleared her throat before walking over.

The woman was collecting her laundry from the clothes line.

"Hello!"

The woman turned around and looked at her.

"Oh, you must be the new neighbour. I'll let you know right away that we don't like any mess!"

Jihyo frowned at the unexpected response but quickly calmed her expression.

"Um... You won't have any problems with me then! Don't worry!"

"Great! Now leave me alone. I am quite busy."

Jihyo looked at her awkwardly as the woman continued to collect her clothes.

"I'm... sorry. May I ask you for your name before I go?"

"Jeongyeon."

"Jeongyeon... I'm Jihyo. Nice to meet you."

Jeongyeon nodded before walking back to her trailer.

Jihyo scratched her head in confusion as she walked across the street opposite from her trailer.

"Strange woman. I guess I'll try my luck with this neighbour"

She walked around to the front of the trailer and was about to go up the steps when she noticed a woman sitting on a chair outside by the fence behind her trailer.

She waved at her as she walked over, but the woman didn't wave back, so she kept her head down and went over as fast as she could.

"H-Hello"

"What do you want?"

Jihyo gulped as the woman looked up at her, waiting for her response.

"I-I'm the new neighbour. I just wanted to come over and say hi. My name is Jihyo"

"Know that this is a family place. I don't want a mess"

"Uh... Of course. No problem. I just want to live in peace"
