A/N: Hey guys! Back with another Michaeng story! This one is based on a short animation called 'Missing Halloween'. If you haven't watched this animation before, please check it out after the story to avoid spoilers for this chapter (or watch it first, Idon't mind). Anyways, Enjoy! --------------------------------------------------------------
Every Christmas, Chaeyoung would act like every kid would. She'd run downstairs to see how many presents she had every morning. She'd leave cookies and milk out for Santa to come. And she'd always be on her best behaviour. But something made her Christmas even more enjoyable.
One day during Christmas Eve a girl knocked on her door and invited her outside for a snowball fight. Her name was Mina.

The two girls played happily outside in the snow. But Chaeyoung's parents would cut their time short and call Chaeyoung back inside the house.
"But I want to play with Mina!"
Her parents wouldn't listen to her.
When it became dark, Chaeyoung would peak out the window and see Mina all alone building a snowman. They'd wave at each other every so often. Chaeyoung was a sneaky girl. She'd sneak out of the house with a scarf around her neck and a carrot in her hand. She would help Mina build the snowman but her parents would always find out and take her back inside.
"Santa is not going to give you presents if you are going to be naughty", her parents would say.
This really scared Chaeyoung and she'd listen to her parents.
The next day on Christmas Day, she snuck out of her house to meet Mina and they were finally able to completely finish building the snowman. When Chaeyoung's parents came out, she was happy to show them the snowman.
"Please take a photo of Mina and I with the snowman!"
Her parents were worried but they took the photo anyways.
"Come on let's go inside, your aunties and uncles have presents for you!"
"Can Mina come in too?"
"Sure sweetie..."
For the first time, Mina was able to enter Chaeyoung's house. She looked around in surprise as Chaeyoung showed her around.
They'd hang around Chaeyoung's family and friends and receive presents, but Mina never got any.
"Why didn't anyone give you any presents?", Chaeyoung pouted.
Mina would just shrug her shoulders.
"I know! Let's use this!"
Chaeyoung handed Mina a Christmas cracker and they pulled on it together.
"Here, you can have whatever is inside!", said Chaeyoung.
Mina picked out a small piece of paper from inside the Christmas cracker.
"What does it say?"
Mina showed her the paper.
"'You found me'. What does that mean?"
Mina just stared at Chaeyoung.
"Eh, who cares! Let's go play in the living room"
Chaeyoung and Mina ran into the living room where she found her parents showing her uncle and aunty something on their phone.
Chaeyoung ran over and took a look at it. It was the photo that her parents had taken when they finished building the snowman. But something was wrong. Mina wasn't in the photo.
Chaeyoung walked back over to Mina.
"I think you were cut off in the photo", said Chaeyoung.
"It's okay Mina, we can take another one next time! Let's go outside in the snow and play!"
The two girls ran outside into the snow.
"What do you want to play Mina? Tag?"
Mina nodded before running off.
"Okay, I'll be it"
Chaeyoung chased after Mina who had run off into the forest behind her house.
Mina crawled under a small opening in a fence. Chaeyoung stopped and looked at the fence that had a large warning sign on it. Her parents had told her to never go beyond the fence but just this one time, she decided to disobey them.
She chased after Mina through the dark foggy forest but the further they went, the faster Mina ran.
Chaeyoung had been so focused on chasing after Mina that something had almost clamped onto her foot. Chaeyoung slipped and rolled down a steep hill where she hit her back against a tree.
"Ouch..."
She sat up and found Mina sitting beside her.
"Hey Mina... Tag, your it", Chaeyoung smiled.
In Mina's hand was a piece of paper.
You found me
"Chaeyoung! Chaeyoung!"
Her parents had called the police after Chaeyoung had gone missing for hours. The police traced her footsteps and found that she had gone beyond the fence that her parents warned her to stay away from.
The police dogs lead the group through the forest where they had found bear traps laid out everywhere.
"Chaeyoung!", her mum cried.
"Please calm down Ma'am"
The police dog began barking after they had reached the edge of a steep hill. The officer shone his flashlight down the hill where they found Chaeyoung sitting against a tall tree.
"Chaeyoung!!!"
Chaeyoung's mum called out but the officer pulled her back before she could run to her.
The police officer shone his light around to clear the area of bear traps but something shocked them to the very core. Sitting beside Chaeyoung was the corpse of a little girl wearing a white dress and a bear trap around her leg.
Chaeyoung's mother covered her mouth in horror as the police officer flipped through a file of missing people.

I tried to follow the Missing Halloween animation so if you struggle to grasp this story then you can watch it for better understanding. Even though MiChaeng were kids in this story, I used pictures of them as adults so sorry bout that.
Anyways thanks for reading! My new SaTzu story will be out soon so please look out for it!
