Lizzie's time at the party was vastly different from her friends after she 'accidently' left them on the dance floor. Spotting a certain new boy, she approached seeing as a drunk Tommy was bragging about his new friend being the Keg King. "Beat it Tommy." she tells the teen dressed as a Cobra Kai.
"Ooo, Liz came to the party." Tommy teases, his arm still slung around Billy's shoulders.
"Beat it Tommy." Billy says, his eyes not leaving Lizzie's as she lifts her glasses to her head.
"Sure yeah." Tommy listens, heading to the kitchen to get another drink.
Lizzie raises her eyebrow at him, "I'd be careful around Tommy. He's a dick."
Now it was Billy's turn to raise an eyebrow as he gave her an amused look. "I'll keep that in mind. Should I be worried about you?" he asks.
She gives him a smirk, "Oh honey, everyone should be worried around me."
"I think I can handle it." Billy replies very confidently.
"Oh can you?" she questions, taking a step up to him. "Let's see how well you can handle this." she says before grabbing his hand and dragging him onto the dance floor.
Billy doesn't seem to argue, just gives her a smirk of his own as he follows her. The two dance together for a while, getting closer and closer as they just allow themselves to succumb to the tension and alcohol. Billy being shirtless wasn't helping either.
Lizzie wraps her arms around his shoulders, getting really close allowing him to lean closer to her. "You aren't from here are you?" he asks her.
"No, from New York. Moved here a little over 2 years ago. What about you? Not every day do we get new people." she answers, the two of them swaying to the music.
"California. So you're the old new person to town." he says amused.
Lizzie laughs, "Yeah I guess you could say that."
"So far you are the most interesting person in this town." Billy admits to her, pulling her in closer leaving no room between them.
"Well you've certainly caught my eye." she flirts, making him grin before wasting no time in kissing her.
The two just succumb to their drunken tension, the kiss becoming a makeout session in the middle of the drunken teen dance floor. They were in their own little world. Swaying and kissing. A wonderful distraction for Lizzie, her mind in a buzz while her hands roam his chest. No family to worry about. No friends to fret over. It was just her and the new hot teen in front of her.
When they finally separated, a certain pink lady caught Lizzie's eye making her realize that she wasn't in her own little world. No she was in Hawkins, where monsters were real and she broke her promise, again. "Shit."
"What is it?" Billy asks, not really noticing her eyes looking over his shoulder.
"I gotta go, I left my friends alone." She says going to walk away but Billy pulls her back.
"Woah, slow down. They're big girls. I think they can have fun without you." he tells her, not really understanding her urgency to leave after their make out session.
Lizzie thinks over his words, "Yeah, I know. But I want to check up with them before I just disappear. Don't want them to worry about me, ya know?"
Billy sighs but nods, "Alright, let's go find your friends."
She smiles, grabbing his hand and leading him in the direction she watched Windy go to. Heading out the front door and onto the porch she was met with not only Windy, but Bella, Eddie, and Steve on the lawn seemingly in a confusing argument.
"What the hell happened to you guys?" she calls out from the porch making them all look her way. She noticed Windy trying to hold back and calm down Eddie and Bella looking over a cut on Steve's face. Honestly with no context, she thought it was kinda funny in her buzzed brain.
"Harrington was hassling Bella." Eddie accused, ignoring how close Billy was with his ex.
"I wasn't doing shit Munson." Steve argues back, not leaving from Bella's grasp as she dabbed a tissue on his cut he got from Eddie's ring cladded fist.
"Bullshit." Eddie fires back, both boys glaring at one another.
"Damn Harrington, you party fouled your chick, so you went out and found someone else to have a good time with tonight?" Billy calls out, finding this whole situation amusing, not really giving a damn about the so-called King.
"Oh, shut it Billy." Steve fires at him.
"Or what Harrington? Worried I'll scare off your new toy? Word on the street is she's lamer than Nancy. Might be doing you a favor." he insults, giving Bella a smirk, making her look away with a grimace.
At that Lizzie turns and glares at Billy. "That's my friend you're talking about. Watch yourself Billy." she tells him annoyed.
"Oh come on, that's what everyone's saying. I didn't come up with it. She's your friend, cool, whatever. But everyone thinks she's a freak and a buzzkill. Better to know that now." Billy says, his temper getting the better of him in his drunken haze before he turns and rejoins the party inside.
Lizzie looks back at the others, "I'm going to deal with him. Don't wait up." she says before following after the new teen.
Windy huffs before facing Eddie, "You are far too drunk," she pauses, smelling the weed on him, "and high to be picking fights. Come on, I'm taking your dumb ass home." She doesn't give him time to protest and she drags him to her car.
Bella watches her friends walk away, refusing to look at Steve after that whole reveal from Billy. "Hey. Don't listen to him. He doesn't know you." Steve tries to comfort her, seeing how hurt she was when Billy was insulting her.
She lets out a small bitter laugh, "You don't know me either Steve, you don't have to lie." she tells him.
Steve's eyebrows scrunch together, "But I do." At this she looks at him with a raised eyebrow of confusion. "P-probably not well. But I know you. You're the only Junior in my senior English class. Nancy, uh, she used to tutor you in math. Yeah. You're the best babysitter Hawkins has ever seen."
At his words Bella laughs, a good happy laugh. "How could you possibly know I'm the best babysitter in Hawkins?" she asks.
"Nancy and Jonathan rave about you all the time. And I see you around town with that group of boys, it seems like they listen to you." he explains his reasoning, smiling as he realizes that he cheered her up. "Do you need a ride?" he asks as he watches Windy leave from behind her.
Bella looks back to see her ride, driving away in the opposite direction. "Uh, I... I would love a ride." she answers facing him again.
