The day has finally come, Halloween! And Windy was currently grinning like a madman as her mom was taking far too many pictures of her baby brother dressed up as a ghostbuster. "Oh! I want to see those pearls. Yeeha!" Her mom encourages and Dustin was not at all embarrassed; hell, his sister took her time helping build and paint his proton pack and ghost trap.
"Looking awesome Dustin!" Windy cheers as he poses some more.
While Windy was having a fun morning, Lizzie was having an annoying morning. "How about I get off early tonight, and I buy us a bunch of candy, and we can sit around and get fat, and we watch a scary movie together?" Hopper tries to cheer up Eleven while Lizzie eats breakfast, far too tired to be hearing them argue about trick or treating.
"Liz too?" El asks, looking over at the teen.
Lizzie swallows her food, "Sorry, I have plans with the girls." she pauses seeing the look on her uncle's face, "But I can see if I can bring back some extra candy just for you." she adds on to make up for her not showing up.
Eleven nods, agreeing to candy as her apology for not spending time with her. Something that Lizzie tends to do when staying out later than normal, bringing back something extra to cheer El up. "So, how's that for a compromise?" Hopper asks the younger girl.
She just looks at him confused, "C-compromise?"
Bella's Halloween morning could be described as boring. No parents to chat with, no siblings to fuss over; it was just her. She stares at her costume for later, her Halloween party outfit. Seeing as she was convinced far to the last minute, the trio got creative and workshopped a group outfit, simple yet recognizable. Unlike if she were to actually take the boys as planned, she would have dressed up as Janine Melnitz, the secretary from ghostbuster. Although Lucas tried to convince her to dress up as a possessed Dana Barrett, the majority party vote went to the Janine costume as it compliments Will's Egon costume seeing as she's normally called to watch him. But now it just sits in her closet, not going to be used.
Heading to school, the three meetup as usual before the bell. "Are you two excited for the party?" Lizzie questions her best friends as they approach her car.
"Yes"
"No"
She received varying answers. "Well get excited. It'll be a blast. I promise." She tries to convince Bella, who was the negative of the two.
"You say that, but drinking doesn't sound fun." Bella argues, holding her textbook for her first class.
Lizzie rolls her eyes, "That's because you refuse to drink."
"My point exactly."
"Bella, you don't have to drink. Don't worry, it'll be fun because there will be music and we will dance till we drop." Windy adds, hoping to cheer her friend up to get her excited.
"The only way I'll have fun dancing is if you two don't ditch me." Bella tells them.
"We've never ditched you." Lizzie tries to argue only to get a look from both girls. "Okay, that was once."
"Twice." They both correct her.
"Okay fine yes, twice. But I promise I will not ditch this time." She tells them.
The bell rings signally the start of the school day. "No ditching." Bella tells her before heading to the school.
Windy looks at her friend still in her car. "What? She was talking about the party. She said nothing about ditching class." Lizzie tells her with a mischievous smile.
"Get in the school." Windy instructs her.
Lizzie sighs, but listens, "Fine. Fine." she mumbles, before walking with her friend to the building.
