"No heavy drinks! And no guys! A few guy batchmates would be fine, lekin bas utne hi." Gurjot announced.

"Listen, I didn't bring you along to tell me what to do! Tu sirf isliye aaya kyuki ye club tere pehchan walo ka hai. Sirf booking ka price thoda adjust karwa aur chalta ban." Shehnaaz snapped at him. The guy had been eating her brains off, she regretted pitying him that she was going to take his fiance away for her birthday and decided to tag him along while she made the arrangements.

"Sana?! Thoda mere se izzat se baat kar, mai aaya hu isliye itne bade club me party arrange ho rahi hai." He was shocked by the way she responded, so he arrogantly snapped her back. He noticed the manager, his friend's friend approaching them and got up to greet him.

"Ki haal aye paji?" He greeted the manager.

"Vadiya, vadiya. Tussi dasso." The manager, also Punjabi, was ready to make a few adjustments for them.

"Sukhi paji kitthe?" Gurjot asked.

"Ek meeting-ch. Mennu aithe attend karne keya si." The manager replied.

"Okay ji. Bas, ek party karni si. Odhe layi hall chaida." Gurjot told him and the manager led them to a big private hall. Shehnaaz explained what their occasion was and what all she wanted in the cuisine.

The hall was nice, there were cleaning staff working around to clear the mess created from a party held a day before.

"Drinks chaidi paji, vodka pasand hai saddi heroine nu." Shehnaaz chuckled, letting the manager know about the bride-to-be. But the manager made a pretty disgusted face, nevertheless nodding to her. Gurjot noticed that, he also didn't miss it when the manager had checked out Shehnaaz while she had gone to look around.

"Final karu fir?" The manager's voice picked his attention.

"Paji ik mint, Sana aithe aayi." Gurjot replied, pulling Shehnaaz to the corner to talk.

"Yaha mat kar party. Dusra club dekhte hai." He told her.

"Kyu? Kya hua? Arrangements ta vadiya aa." She was surprised why he was backing off now.

"Safety zyada zaruri hundi. I'm not friends with this guy, he's not giving me good vibes." He replied and she was amazed to know that.

"Okay." She nodded, trusting his instincts. They made a silly excuse to the manager in order to leave the place.

"Paji, hall te changa haiga. But we suddenly realized that we wanted it for 5th and not 15th." She lied.

"2nd of this month? That's day after tomorrow!" The manager was taken aback, how could they miss out on such an important thing and told them that the hall wasn't available for the day.

"We'll book a good and safe place, don't worry. Mai bhi contri kar dunga, teri party me koi kami nahi rahegi." He assured her, once they were out.

"Hm. Soch ke bol, ab mai loot lungi tujhe!" She joked and the two laughed, talking of what other clubs they should check out.

"Koi na, bas party achi honi chahiye. Savings kar rakhi hai maine." She replied, politely declining his offer to contribute.

"Aur kya surprise dene wali hai tu?" He asked.

"Tu Sheena ko bata dega! Mai ye risk nahi le rahi." She shook her head.

"Arey!? Batana! Maybe I can help! Kisko bulane wali hai?" He insisted.

"Bola na, I don't need your help in that. Maine almost sab kar liya hai." She assured him, wanting this one thing to remain a secret.

She had taken a few numbers from her best friend's phone while she was in the bathroom this morning. She was going to invite her childhood friends.
