Dinner at Shukla's place was a pleasant affair and Rita Ma had prepared a lavish meal for her guests.

"Um, all set? Kuch help chahiye?" Sidharth peeked into the kitchen while Preeti was arranging the refreshments for the guests and coordinating with the house helps.

"Ha, yeh sab leke kon jayega?" Preeti replied.

"Huh?" He entered the kitchen then, confused.

"Ladki wale aaye hain na tujhe dekhne?" She teased and giggled, making the house help laugh a little as they made their way to serve tea.

"Muh band kar apna." He replied, making his way back to the drawing room to find the rest of the family interacting with Shehnaaz and Madhu.

"Aapka ghar bada pyara hai. Sana ne bataya tha, wo Mickey aur Anju ke sath aayi thi ek baar." Madhu spoke, looking around at the insights of the huge house in awe. The place was not just big and classy but homely and warm at the same time.

"Ha, bacche yahi bade huye. Sidharth ke Papa, Ashok, ne badi mehant se banaya isey." Rita Ma replied, taking a look at her house.

"Chaliye aunty, khana ready hai." Preeti said, gesturing to them to get to the dining table.

"We've been waiting for you guys since forever, kehte rehte the Montu ko, Shehnaaz ko khane pe bulao bhai!" Ajay engaged them into a conversation again.

"I'm sorry, usne bola tha. Mere pass hi time nahi tha shuru me." Shehnaaz apologetically replied.

"Sorry se kaam thodi chalega Di, aapko compensate karna padega!" Advait mentioned. Madhu smiled, watching them interact so frankly.

"Acha? Kya karu mai?" She chuckled, asking him.

"Hm, for starters, mujhe weekend pe ghumao. Kahi lekar chalo. Movies, cafes, long drives, or whatever. I'll be ready." He shrugged, letting out the options.

"Chal thik hai." She agreed and all of them had dinner together.

"Tum dono ghumne jaoge, aur Montu ka kya?" Preeti asked.

"Yeh bhi rahega na, gadi kon chalayega?" Shehnaaz replied and everybody started laughing at that.

Sidharth didn't say anything, he rather had an impressive smile adoring his face while letting everyone enjoy the joke on him.

Later, on their way back, Sidharth, Shehnaaz and Madhu were listening to the soft musical stereo. The weather was fine such that they didn't need to turn on the air conditioner.

"Humare office me next week father's day manayenge." Shehnaaz mentioned.

"Acha?" He asked, taking a quick glance of Madhu sitting at the back. She was looking outside, obviously keeping her ears open to the conversation.

"Ha, idhar wo culture hai. Sara kuch manate hain, women's day, mother's day toh samajh aata tha, environment day pe plantation kiya tha, tune shayad notice na kiya ho lekin har Friday casual wear day hota hai. Mai mostly friday ko oversized tshirt pehen ke jati hu." She went on.

"Aur Wednesdays ko kurti? Ethnic day?" He asked her and she looked at him surprised.

"Ha! Haaye, tu kitna notice karta hai Sidharth!" She was in awe of the man next to her. Even though he was driving, she wanted to grab his face and give him a kiss. Only if her mother wasn't a spectator.

"Ahem!" Madhu cleared her throat, watching her daughter lean forward and caress her boyfriend's hand on the steering wheel.

Sidharth sighed when Shehnaaz retrieved her hand, he wondered if Madhu was going to be the hurdle in their moments. It was not like they were on top of each other, they were just talking!
