"Aylinn, James is here!"

I hear Logan yell from downstairs.

"I'll be right down"

I was just finishing putting on my heels.

James and I had been dating for about 7 months now. These past months, I have been the happiest I have ever been. He's been so sweet and caring and those few weeks of recovery after my accident, he was always so attentive. I couldn't ask for anything better than being with the guy I love, and that guy is James. Everyone was really happy once they found out that we had finally started dating.

We had a hard decision deciding if we wanted to keep our relationship a secret or not. We decided to keep it a secret in the beginning but it started to get harder to hide it. So 3 months ago we went public with our relationship. We have had amazing feedback from fans but of course there will always be those people that hate on our relationship.

Anyways, James had asked me out on a date a few days ago and told me it would be something Formal. So that's why I decided to wear a white crop top with a white skater skirt that had flower and leaf print on it. (See Image above) My hair was just in some soft beach waves and to the side and my make up was just simple mascara, some eyeliner and lipgloss. For shoes I just decided on some black heels. I take one lay look in the mirror, grab my clutch and head downstairs. as I go downstairs I see James and Logan socializing in the Living room. Once they see me they both get up from the couch.

"Wow Aylinn....you look beautiful"

I blush lightly and give him a big smile

"Thank you James. You look very handsome."

He comes closer and gives me a kiss on the lips.

"Alright Logan we'll be back later I guess."

"Ok lovebirds have fun"

James takes my hand and walks me outside to the passenger side if his car, he opens the door for me then closes it once I'm inside. Like a true gentleman.

"So babe, where are we going?"

He starts the engine then turns to face me.

"That, is a surprise baby girl." He says giving me that adorable grin.

He starts driving and after about 30 minutes we arrive to a small fancy restaurant that sits on a hill and overlooks the Pacific Ocean. He goes around the car and opens the door for me, also helping me out. He takes my hand and we walk into the restaurant.

"Reservation under Maslow for two" James says to the man behind the booth.

"Right this way please"

He leads us to a small table on a private, reserved area of the balcony.

"Your waiter will be right with you Mr. and Mrs. Maslow"

"Thank you" James says while looking at me and giving me a grin. Once he walks away we both start laughing.

I look over to my side and see that the table gives us a perfect view to the clear, blue sparkling ocean and the sky is just starting to change colors.

After a few minutes, The waiter comes and takes our drink order as well as our food order. Wen the waiter brings out drinks, he also has a bottle of champagne with him. he pours it into the glass then walks away.

"Did we order champagne?"

"I had it requested when I made the reservation. but let's make a toast."

"Alright," I grab the glass, "to what?"

"To these amazing, past 8 months. I love you so much Aylinn and I can honestly say I'm the happiest when I'm with you."

"I love you too babe and I feel the same way. You make me a better person and you are always such a caring person with me. So cheers to us."

"To us." He repeats. We clink glasses and I take a sip from the champagne, it tastes really good.

After a few minutes the waiter comes with our food. We eat and get into small talk. We try to see each other every day and it surprises me that we never seem to run out of things to talk about. A Red Velvet slice of cake is brought out to us for dessert,

"On the house," the waiter says. we thank him and dig into the cake. once I taste it, I feel my tastebuds explode. But in a good way. Its so delicious!

"Babe I wanted to give you something." James says. He brings out a small black box wrapped in a pink ribbon.

"Did I forget our anniversary?" I ask with a scared tone in my voice.

He chuckles, "no babe, it's just something I've been meaning to give you and we'll I guess ask you."

He hands me the small box.

"Open it"

I softly unwrap the ribbon and take off the lid. I look inside and I see a key. I'm confused. I take out the key and bring it closer to take a look at it.

"What's this James?"

"Well it's a key to my house."

"To your house? Are you..."

"Ever since we started dating it just seems like either I spend most of my time at yours and Logan's house, or you spend it at mine. I just thought, why not make it less of a hassle and move in together? So Aylinn, would you like to move in with me?"

I feel my cheeks start to hurt from all the smiling.

"I would Love to James!"

I get up from my seat and jump on him, giving him a big hug. He sits down and pulls me down with him to sit on his lap. he wraps his arms around my waist and lays his head on my shoulder.

I turn my head to face him and cup his face in my hands.

"I love you so much James."

"I love you more babe."

"I don't think that's possible, but if you say so."

I pull him I to a soft tender kiss. when we break apart, we stay just like we are, looking at the sunset together.

At this moment I think about everything James and I went through to get to where we are now. We had to go through hiding our feelings for each other, dating other people, breaking each other's hearts and so on. I realize now, that even though Love has Barriers, true love wins at the end.
