Chapter 28

Niall's POV
I just got home from picking the kids up from my mom's. Copeland was asleep in her carrier and the twins were wide awake because of some sweets my mom had given them. When I opened the door it was quiet, too quiet.
I set Copeland down. I bent down by the twins.
"Lucas, I need you take your sisters into the play room and stay there until I come get you. Okay?"
"Okay daddy!" Lucas said and took his sister into the play room. I also played the carrier in there. I then went to my study, and took out a safe. I took out a gun and headed upstairs.
"Courtney?" I said but no response. I continued up the steps with my gun. I slowly opened our bedroom door. I saw Courtney naked, passed out, with a gag in her mouth. Something was really wrong.
"I know someone's here. Come out now."
"Hello Niall." Louis said aiming his own gun, along with Harry.
"Give up Niall. It's two against one." Louis said.
"I don't care. I'm not letting you have Courtney. She doesn't want you Louis. She's happy with me." I said
"I don't care! She belongs to me."
"She doesn't want you." I said.
"Harry and I are leaving with her."
"I'm surprised you're even still friends with Harry. I mean Copeland isn't even your daughter Louis."
"So what if she's Harry's. It doesn't matter because Courtney is mine."
We then heard a groan. I looked over to see Courtney's stirring.
"Louis we have to finish this now!" Harry shouted and I shot my gun, Harry dodged and I ducked. Gun shots then began to fire. I then heard a cry of pain. I looked to see I shot Harry.
Louis put his arm over his shoulder.
"This isn't over." Louis said and jumped out the window. I ran over to courtney and put a sweater on her and some underwear. She stirred but continued to sleep as I took the gag out of her mouth. I kissed her and then went to get the kids and put them to bed. I then got ready for bed and went to sleep myself.
