Chapter 2

Courtney's Nightmare

"Louis please let go." I said scared to my boyfriend of 6 months. We hadn't even been dating that long and he made me move in with him. I was estatic at first but about a month after I moved in with him he changed. He started hitting and yelling at me and critizing everything I did. He wasn't the funny and sweet guy that I fell for anymore.

"Why were you talking to him?! What did I tell you?!?" Louis yelled as his grip on my arms tightened

"Please Louis let go. You're hurting me." I said

"I don't give a damn! What did I tell you! Answer me!" Louis yelled

"T-that I-I can't talk to any other guys except you and y-your f-friends" I said

"That's right! Start listening!" Louis yelled and threw me to the ground

"Go make me dinner" Louis said as I got up from the floor. I turned around to face him and did the one thing I knew I would regret.

I slapped him. I had slapped Louis.

"I'm sick and tired of you treating me like dirt Louis! I'm your girlfriend not your slave! Why don't you start treating me right or I'm leaving!" I yelled. Louis then looked angry and started to walk towards me and I started to back up slowly and turned around and ran. I was about run out the door when Louis grabbed me by the hair and dragged me back to our room. Once inside he locked it and threw me on the bed. I tried to get off but Louis got on top of me and held my hands in place and ripped off his clothes and mine.

"You'll regret slapping me and yelling at me Courtney." Louis said with anger in his voice.

"P-please Louis d-don't do this. I'm s-sorry." I said with tears in my eyes

"Too late dear" Louis said and entered me. That was the night he raped me and I became pregnant.

End Nightmare

I woke up in cold sweat and starting crying. I remember that day to clearly. Everynight I had nightmares of what Louis would to me. I hated him but yet there was a part of me that still loved him. I miss his sweet side. My thoughts were interrupted when my door opened. I looked to see Lucas holding his sister hand.

"Mommy breakfast?" Lucas asked

"Sure sweetie" I said and got out of bed and headed into the kitchen with my kids. The kids sat down and I looked to see what we had to eat. I looked in the fridge and saw we didn't have much left so I sighed and looked in the pantry. We had froot loops and lucky charms but that was it.

"Lucas, Madelyn do you want Froot Loops or Lucky Charms?" I asked my kids.

"Froot Loops!" Lucas said

"Lucky Charms!" Madelyn said. So I each made them a bowl with milk and gave them there breakfast. I just had an apple.

"Mommy can we go to park?" Lucas said

I looked at the clock to see I had a couple hours before I had to go to work.

"Sure sweetie go get dressed when you're done." I said

Lucas then ran back to his room followed by his sister who was struggling to catch up with her brother. I then headed to my room and put a tshirt, some jeans and converse on. I then brushed my hair and teeth and headed into my kids room to see if they were ready but was stopped by a knock on the door.

Who could that be? I thought and then headed to the door and looked through the peephole but didn't see anyone. I opened the door and looked down to see an envelope by my door. I picked it up and closed the door just as my kids came running in the room with their shoes and coats in their hands. I put the envelope in my pocket and bent down and put their shoes and coats and we left to the park. I wonder who that letter is from? I thought as we walked to the park
