"Hey, Iruma, is everything all right?" Balam asked his student and his friend's lover as they sat together in his study for their weekly checkup. "Yes, of course, Balam-sensei. Why wouldn't I be all right?" Iruma replied, though he wondered why his teacher had asked.
Balam leaned forward, looking quite concerned. "It's just that you have been spacing out for the past few days, and your friends asked me to try to find out what is on your mind.

Iruma's eyes widened in surprise as his face colored with a guilty tinge. "Oh, I didn't know I was letting them worry." Trying to be honest, since there was no use trying to hide anything from Balam, who always sensed the truth somehow. "Well, sensei, I've been missing my original world...Earth."

Balam's eyes filled with curiosity. "If I may ask, what do you miss about your original world?" I could just hear the undeniable excitement in his voice, and I couldn't help but chuckle.

"Around this time of year, people celebrate Christmas," Iruma began, smiling with a trace of wistfulness in his tone. "The whole city would light up, and the people would also celebrate with all their loved ones: families, friends, and even couples. They gave each other presents, and there would always be that warm, fuzzy feeling. But. I never got to enjoy it. My parents usually had me work through the holidays."

Balam nodded pensively, writing down notes, and Iruma knew his teacher might have a dozen more questions ready. But right on cue, a loud school bell sounded, making them both jump in surprise.

"That's the bell! Iruma, you should head to your next class," Balam urged. Then, with a note of urgency, he added, "But one last question-when is this Christmas?"

Already half out the door, Iruma whipped back around and shouted, "Sensei, it's December 25th!" and vanished into the hallway, still utterly lacking any consciousness that today was, in fact, December 25th.

Balam stopped mid-motion, a look of serious contemplation crossing his face. He pulled out his Devi phone and furiously messaged a string of demons.

Kalego drummed his fingers impatiently on the desk in his classroom. "Iruma, you are late.".

"I'm sorry, Kalego-sensei. I was at Balam-sensei's office for the weekly checkup," Iruma replied, still slightly panting as he tried to catch his breath.

Kalego let out a sigh and then motioned to Iruma's seat. "Very well, take your seat." Quiet murmurs broke out around the room.

"Wanna bet?"

"What kind of bet?"

"Kalego-sensei is definitely jealous right now."

The whispers were suddenly cut off when Kalego shouted, "Silence!" The classroom went silent, and Kalego began again. "Now, let's continue with today's topic..."

Once class was over, he headed for home with Asmodeus and Clara when suddenly, they grabbed him deep in the school. And before he could utter any words, a blindfold came down over his eyes, and he was led with great care deeper into the unknown.

When the blindfold was finally removed, Iruma blinked in surprise. He found himself standing in a beautifully decorated hall, the same place where his birthday was celebrated previously. From the ceiling glowed colorful lights, while a tree full of ornaments sat in a corner. His eyes widened as his friends, teachers, and even some of the students and staff with whom he had become well acquainted over the last two years faced him.

Kalego stood beside him, a slight smile on his otherwise stern face. "What's happening? Why is everyone here?" Iruma asked, completely clueless as to what was going on.

"We've all convened here today due to you, Iruma," Kalego replied matter-of-factly.

Iruma looked confused. "What do you mean, due to me?"

Balam stepped forward, grinning. "We're here to celebrate the occasion you said was one of the reasons you missed your old home.

Iruma's eyes welled up with tears as his heart was swollen with emotion. "Was this all? Because I missed my old home?"

Lied smiled, joining in, "We wouldn't have come up with the idea if he hadn't convinced us."

"Wh-who?" Iruma asked, looking around confused.

Lied huffed, his lips pointing in Kalego's direction as he smirked. Iruma's eyes went wide. The next thing he knew, his arms were wrapped tightly around Kalego's body, squeezing him to death. "I love you so much. Thank you."

Kalego's ears blushed to such a deep red, his dignified expression faltered for just one instant. Other demons could not help but giggle softly at the sight unfolding in front of their eyes-the most fearsome Lord of Darkness, tamed by the most harmless soul they knew.

The hall resonated with laughter, the beat of music, and a smell of jubilation into which the party was fully plunged. That day, Babyls added a new tradition to their calendar of events: joyous celebration inspired by one boy's longing for a faraway world.
