Chapter 4 the return

3rd pov (Salvatore school)

Lizzie was in her father's office looking for something. She searched from behind the books to his hiding spot she knew about, but found nothing.

''damn, he must have hidden the good stuff away. Come on dad where is the new hiding spot?'', she muttered to herself.

She went to the drawer to look one more time to be sure.

This time she went more through it. She saw something shining from the back.

She furrowed her brows and looked at the door, seeing the coast was still clear. She took the object up and recognized it immediately.

The ring from the mysterious boy. She examined it. ''whoever you are, I feel like you were someone important. Maybe it's just my imagination. Oh, god what am I doing? I'm talking to a ring. Maybe I have gone a little crazy''.

Suddenly a light was seen outside the school which took Lizzies attention from the ring and look up.

She went out with the ring still in her hand.

Josie was in her room just being out of it. Holding so much in was not how she wanted it to be. She wishes she just could forget too, but that didn't seem fair. At least someone should remember him.

She looked at a picture that she had hidden from the other's. It was her, Lizzie, Hope, Mg and Nick with the girls holding teddy bears.

She remembered that day like it was yesterday. Mg had just won a bear for Lizzie at the carnival with Nick's help. He was so nervous that he asked Nick to give it to the blonde, but Nick declined and told the boy to do it himself. So, Mg dared Nick to win for Hope as it then looked like a friend gesture. The boy thought it was fair, so he did. What he didn't know was that Mg was also pushing him as he pushed the other boy to give it to his crush. Hope may have been oblivious to his love for her, but that didn't mean the other's around them were.

Only that he won two, therefore he gave one to Josie and Hope. So, that the other Saltzman twin wasn't left out.

As Josie still looked at the picture and relieved the memory, with tears escaping her eyes. Suddenly she saw light the corner of her eyes outside the school.

She hurried herself out to check.

Hope was in the living room.

''thought I'd find you here'', a recognized voice spoke. She looked around to seeher boyfriend, Ethan. ''hey'', she said in a rather low voice.

The boy sighed and sat himself down on the couch with her. ''do you remember when I first came here?'', he tried to cheer her up.

She smiled. ''yeah you just found out you were a werewolf and was in shock. I remember dr Saltzman almost choked when your mother told him. He never knew that before you guys moved away''.

The boy chuckled. ''yeah, me and him both. You know I wasn't only just shocked, kinda was also nervous. I mean I don't know if you remember, but I had this crush on you before I moved''. Hope suddenly felt uncomfortable.

Why did she feel that? He was her boyfriend after all. So, this shouldn't be making her that.

''oh, yeah I kinda knew. You asked me on a date kind of. If you remember''.

''yeah, then a couple of days later you got back together with your ex''. Her smile faltered. ''well, yeah''.

''may I ask what happened between you two?'', he asked intrigued. Hope looked away from him and looked directly at the floor.
