Chapter 70 he's playing with me

Nick was still inside the cave with his head down while leaning to the wall.

Nick's pov

I felt something shine so I opened my eyes. I looked at the light and it began to light brighter. It was getting to bright so I began to shield my eyes.

Suddenly it stopped. I looked back up to see I was not in the cave anymore. I guess what malivore wanted was about to happen.

I looked around and saw I was home. I was in my room. ''Nick'', I heard my mom yell. ''Nicholas it's time for school'', she shouted.

''mom'', I said and sprinted down.

She was at the table making room for breakfast. There I saw dad and Stefanie too. I think I remember what memory this is supposed to be.

''hey sport. Sit down. Your mother cooked this before you go to school'', dad said smiling at me. I smiled back and sat myself down. Mom sat down too.

I watched as they passed the food to each other and talked. I miss that.

''Nick you've been awfully quiet this morning. Is everything okay?''. I looked up to be met by mom's worried eyes. ''yeah everything's fine just tired''. ''see Elena he's just tired'', dad spoke up.

I stood up and went to mom. I gave her a hug. ''what's that for?'', she asked while she was still in my hug.

I let her go. ''just because'', I said smiling. Then I went to dad and did the same. He didn't say anything he just hugged me back.

Then I went to Stefanie. She looked at me shaking her head, but I took her in a hug.

After that I stood back up. ''I have to go to school but I love you guys''. All of them starred at me. ''did someone give you a pill or something?''. ''Stefanie''. ''no mom it's okay. No Stefanie no one gave me anything. I just wanted to without any pill or something''.

My phone began to pling. I looked down at it.

''coming to your school today. Dana and her friend is missing and dad wants us to investigate. Hope your there Nicky''.

I smiled at the text.

''who is that?'', dad asked me. I looked up at him. ''oh, it's Lizzie. She's coming to the school today and investigate the disappearance of Dana''. ''ah, you and Lizzie have been spending much time lately''. ''dad she's just a friend''. ''right, you only have eyes for Hope'', he said smirking again.

As he mentioned her name I began to remember this was just a memory. It happened a long time ago.

''I have to go''. With that I left.

20 minutes later

I was now at the school, and I noticed the Salvatore buss. I walked over there right in time as the buss opened. I was met by Lizzie doing an entrance. That was cut off short as Landon tripped her. Luckily I caught her.

''will you look at that. Lizzie Saltzman falling for me'', I said smirking.

She looked at me and I noticed she began to blush. She immediately got up. I noticed Hope was looking at us, slightly jealous. Huh, didn't catch that the last time.

''thanks Nick''. She turned back to Landon. ''and you get your wedgie trauma in check, girls are missing hobbit''. ''sorry'', he said.

''what are you doing here Salvatore'', Caleb said. ''Caleb always a pleasure. Well, I go here and Lizzie hoped I'd be here so here I am. Thought I could help you guys out''. I heard Caleb groan.

''but you aren't supernatural'', Landon said. Technically I am, but I don't know it yet so gotta keep up the act. ''yeah but so aren't you and you're helping'', I said in a harsh tone.

I noticed Hope looked at me and I looked back. ''you're going to say anything Hopey or be quiet?''. Everyone turned to look at Hope. She looked back at me with a stare. I remember this was the first time we saw each other for real after we almost kissed.

''no just want this to get over with''. ''why you said you wanted to be normal for a day and go to a normal school'', Mg opened up his mouth.

''Mg, next time shut your mouth'', Hope said angry and walked away.

I looked at the direction she was walking. ''come on Nick'', Lizzie said and took my hand, walking to the school.

As we went inside the door I was in the school, but something was different. Everyone was gathered around me.

''it's your fault Nick'', Mg said. ''you're the reason why we're in danger'', Caleb spoke up. ''you shouldn't have come to the school'', Landon said. ''you are the one who will hurt us'', Lizzie said.

I looked at everyone. Tears began to form in my eyes. ''no, no that's not true. I'm trying to save you, all of you. I'm doing my best to not break''.

''well, then do a better job. I don't want to kill my own boyfriend'', I heard behind me. I turned around and was met by Hope holding the golden arrow. She looked at me with no emotions. Then she took the arrow and pushed it into my heart and twisted it.

''now you know literally how it feels to be heartbroken physical and mentally'', I heard a voice say.

I looked up to be met by malivore, not Hope.

I kneeled down. ''you son of a bitch''. ''ah, ah Nicholas. Your anger is showing, which means it's working. You'll break sooner or later. Now if you excuse me I have to get back. Have fun, oh and also this was like your fifth it think''.

I looked back up at him. ''my fifth? No, it has to be my first. I don't remember any others''.

He smiled. ''well, that means it really is working. You're displacing the others. My guess it's because it's either hurtful or you don't want to remember those again, or maybe it's because I'm the one who makes you forget to play more with you'', he said now with a smirk.

''one way or another I will take you down''. ''yeah, yeah have heard that before son. Now I have to go and I'll see you soon again''.

3rd pov

With that the man vanished and Nick was back in the cave.

He got himself up and took out the stake that was disguised as the arrow. He groaned.

After that he went back to leaning to the wall.

He closed his eyes and opened them again, but this time they were their werewolf colour.

''Nick?'', he heard his best friend's voice. ''it worked good. Jed listen I don't have much time. It takes very much strength to do this, and I don't have that much. I don't know where I am. Malivore somehow trapped me in my own head. He is trying to get me to turn off my humanity somehow and to tell the truth, I think it's working. He's playing with me. Look if he succeed, you may have to do the thing I told you about. You know get Josie to do it if it comes to me hurting you guys. You have to tell her. She will find the spell in the library. It's hidden in the comics''.

''Nick, no it has to be another way''. The hybrid sighed. ''well, maybe but if not do it. You have to make sure everyone forgets me. Do it after. If it ends up in killing me, you do that spell to make me be forgotten. I know Josie can do it. She regained everyone the memory of Hope, then she can make people forget me too''.

''Nick''. ''Jed listen it's okay, maybe it won't happen like you said. But if it does so it. Don't tell Hope about it. Tell Josie and only her. I have to go I can feel it's draining me. Be safe my friend you and the others. Tell everyone I'm okay''.

Before Jed got to say anything Nick, disconnected the connection.

His eyes back to normal.

He couldn't keep his eyes open anymore, so he closed it.
