Chapter 62 hello Nicholas

Nick's pov

I don't know where I am. All I see is nothing but darkness. ''hello is someone there?'', I yelled but I heard nothing but my echo.

I closed my eyes and opened them again with my wolf eyes. Now I didn't see much, but I saw little lights and that's better than just seeing dark.

I saw something catching my attention. I walked towards it.

There were doors, many doors in fact. I looked at all of them and they all had something written on them. One said: painful. Another said: heartbreaking, and so on.

I felt someone touching my shoulder from the back and then I heard someone. ''hello Nicholas''.

Hope's pov

It's been six hours and Nick still hasn't woken up. We are back in the school and dr Saltzman is stressing out.

''dad, he's been out for six hours. Should we be worried?'', Josie asked her father as we're in his office. Alaric sighed.

3rd pov

''look its his first time and remember when Landon activated his. It took time. So, everyone just relax. Nick will come back'', Rick said as he looked outside of his window seeing Nick laying lifeless on the grass.

''and what if he don't?'', Roman said as he came in the office. ''what did you just say?'', Raf said as he stood up and came closer to the vamp. Roman looked at the werewolf. ''I'm just saying what if he don't?''. ''you have a lot of nerve. He will so I suggest you keep your mouth shut, or I will shut it for you''. ''Rafael that's ENOUGH'', his headmaster yelled.

This took the boy to turn around and getting back to his seat. Still, he looked at Roman with a stare that isn't friendly.

''look, I'm sorry I said it. You guys are right he is half phoenix. He's a hybrid. I shouldn't have implied that'', the vampire said.

''yeah you shouldn't have'', Hope said as she stood up and went out.

''I'll talk to her'', Landon said.

Nick's pov

''Klaus is that you?''. ''in the flesh boy''. ''but how?''. ''you don't remember?''. ''uhm I do. I was at the beach with my friends and then Roman showed up and we started to discuss or argue then malivore came and...'', I cut myself off. ''I'm dead aren't I''. Klaus smiled towards the boy. ''not exactly Nicholas. You are, but not for long. You just activated your phoenix side, so that's why''. ''yeah I know, but what is this place?''.

I looked back from Klaus and looked at the doors. ''this my boy. Is your memory hall or so''. I turned back to him. ''my what?''. ''it's like your life flashing before your eyes. All of these doors lead to your memories. From bad to good. Like when you were happy, sad and all that. all of them represents that''.

3rd pov

''they do?'', the boy asked his girlfriend's father. ''yes'', he answered. ''but why are you here? Not that I'm glad to see you but''. Klaus chuckled. ''I understand Nicholas. I'm here because I was one of your closest that recently died. Even if it was some years ago''. ''you mean that since it's my first time dying, I can meet the ones who did?''.

''yes, you can put it that way''. Suddenly the light came on and Nick eyes went back to normal. ''does that mean my uncle and the others are here too?'', he said as he looked at Klaus. ''not exactly, but you can see them if you want to. It's like a call, but you can't choose and see all at the exact time''. ''does it mean it happens every time I die?''. ''no. Just this time since it's your first''. ''but you just said''. ''yeah I know, but I mean you can just do it this time. Like you can for example think of your uncle Stefan then he'll come, and I'll disappear''.
