Four years had passed since Kevin and Dracomon attended summer flight camp, but the memories of that day still lingered. When a shy little boy named Ash Ketchum was being bullied by two girls and their Digimon partners, Kevin couldn't stand by and watch.
"Leave him alone!" he yelled, his anger boiling over.
The bullies and Kevin and their partners agreed to a race to determine who was the "big shot." Ash, standing on another cloud, waved a checkered flag to start the race. As they took off, Ash was knocked off his cloud and into free fall. He kept falling until a dense swarm of Butterfrees gently carried him to the ground, a place he had never been to or seen before.

Meanwhile, Kevin and the bullies and their partners raced through the cloud rings toward the finish line. Kevin and Coredramon were already in the lead, but one of the bullies crashed into a cloud pillar, and the other bumped into Kevin and Coredramon, causing them to veer off course. But they caught up and took the lead again, driven by Coredramon's desire to win.
As they approached the finish line, Kevin felt a surge of energy within him. He knew that this was his chance to prove himself, to show everyone what he was capable of. And with that, he and Coredramon performed the ultimate trick, one that was only told in legends: the sonic flame rainboom.
The crowd gasped in amazement as Kevin and Coredramon blazed across the sky, leaving a trail of rainbow-colored flames in their wake. As they crossed the finish line, they knew that they had won, not just the race, but something much more significant: Kevin's mark, a rainbow-colored blazing fire that gave him the name "The Rainbow Flame Dragon."

Looking over at Ash, who was still standing among the Butterfrees, Kevin smiled. He had stood up for someone who needed help, and in doing so, he had discovered something about himself: that he had the courage and skill to do great things.
As the sun set over the camp, Kevin and Coredramon soared through the sky, their spirits lifted by the thrill of the race and the knowledge that they had made a difference in someone's life.

Kevin gazed out at the vast expanse of the Wonderbolt Academy, his heart filled with both excitement and trepidation. This was his chance to prove himself, to follow in his dreams and make a difference. Dracomon stood by his side, their bond unbreakable.
But all was not well within the walls of the prestigious institution. As Kate began her training as a recruit, a group of cadets took it upon themselves to break the rules and bully her. It was a cruel and unjust act that Kevin couldn't simply ignore.
With determination burning in his eyes, Kevin stepped forward, his voice filled with righteous indignation. "Stop this at once! It is disgraceful to treat anyone this way, let alone a fellow recruit!"
Dracomon growled, his sharp claws digging into the ground. "You should be ashamed of yourselves. Bullying goes against everything the Wonderbolt Academy stands for."

Among the cadets, two figures emerged - Alex Pruitt and his partner Pulsemon. They had once been friends with the bullies, but Kevin and Dracomon's intervention changed that. A dislike formed between them, and soon they became rivals, competing fiercely in various training events.

Days turned into weeks, and the rivalry between Kevin, Dracomon, Alex, and Pulsemon intensified. They pushed each other to their limits, each striving to prove their worth and uphold their shared belief in justice.

One fateful day, Kevin stumbled upon the cadets once again tormenting his mother. Anger surged through him, his fists clenched tightly as he charged forward, Dracomon by his side. A fierce battle ensued, the clash of Digimon reverberating through the training grounds.

Just as Kevin and Dracomon seemed to gain the upper hand, a chilling sight halted them in their tracks. Alex, driven to desperation, donned a weapon and aimed it at the cadets who had grabbed hold of Kevin and Dracomon. The air grew heavy with tension, the weight of the moment mirroring a past event in Chicago when Yan-Lo held Peter, and Kevin had his gun aimed at him.
The cadets sneered, goading Alex to take the shot. Kevin's heart raced, fear gripping him like a vice. But in a moment that would forever change their fate, Alex hesitated. His hand shook, the weapon wavering in the air.
In that crucial moment of uncertainty, Alex and Pulsemon made a choice. They stepped forward, aligning themselves with Kevin and Dracomon, their shared belief in justice overcoming their previous differences.

The cadets were swiftly expelled from the academy, their actions finally catching up with them. Left standing were Kevin, Dracomon, Alex, and Pulsemon. As they gathered, their rivalry transformed into an unexpected bond of friendship. They sat together, discussing their reasons for joining the academy, sharing stories of their dreams and aspirations.
Amidst the conversation, Kate approached him, her eyes shimmering with tears of gratitude and remorse. She embraced her son tightly, her voice filled with apology. "Kevin, I'm so sorry. I didn't understand before why you couldn't take that shot. But now, I see that there are other ways to fight for justice."

Weeks turned into months, and as the Chicago war raged on, Kevin and Dracomon found themselves entangled in a secret mission. They stole the powerful Chrono Morphers, a tool that could turn the tide of battle. But when they were discovered, Kate selflessly took the blame, protecting her son from the consequences.

Heart heavy with grief, Kevin witnessed his mother fighting for their people. The sounds of gunfire and the cries of the wounded filled the air. In a moment of desperation, Kate aimed her weapon at Kevin, her own son. It was a chilling parallel to the past, a mirror reflecting the pain they had endured before.
But before Kevin could react, Alex forward. His eyes held a mixture of sorrow and determination. He fired his weapon, ending Kate's life to prevent her from harming her own son. The weight of that moment crushed Kevin, the indiscriminate slaughter of his people, including his own family, etching itself into his soul.

In the aftermath, Kevin fell into a deep despair, his heart heavy with the loss and the horrors he had witnessed. He questioned the very essence of justice, his faith shattered by the indiscriminate bloodshed. It was in this moment of darkness that Alex approached him, the pain of his sins hidden beneath a smile.
"Kevin, we carry the burden of our choices so that others can find hope," Alex said, his voice tinged with sadness. "It's not easy, but it's the path we've chosen. We must find strength in each other."

Returning home, Kevin and Dracomon tried to heal their shattered spirits. But the envy they felt towards Alex and Pulsemon's strength and resilience was a constant reminder of their own shortcomings. They longed for the unwavering determination and unwavering spirit that their friends possessed.
Meanwhile, Alex and Pulsemon reunited with Meiko and Meicoomon, who also attended the academy. The bond of friendship between the four grew stronger, their shared experiences shaping them into a formidable team.
As the days turned into weeks, the group decided to take a much-needed vacation. They traveled to a remote island, far away from the chaos of war and the weight of their responsibilities. The island was a paradise, with crystal-clear waters and lush greenery stretching as far as the eye could see.
Kevin and Dracomon watched from afar as Alex, Pulsemon, Meiko, and Meicoomon soaked in the sun and laughed together. They envied the carefree nature of their friends, their ability to find joy even in the midst of turmoil.
But as they observed, a realization began to dawn upon Kevin and Dracomon. Strength wasn't just about physical prowess or the ability to fight. It was about resilience, compassion, and the unwavering determination to protect what they held dear.

With newfound purpose, Kevin approached his friends, a determined glint in his eyes. "Alex, Pulsemon, Meiko, Meicoomon... I've realized that strength comes in many forms. It's not just about power or skill. It's about the choices we make, the bonds we forge, and the courage to stand up for what's right."
Alex smiled, his eyes filled with understanding. "You're right, Kevin. Strength is not limited to physical abilities. It's about the strength of our hearts, our convictions, and the willingness to fight for justice."
Dracomon stepped forward, his voice filled with determination. "We may not possess the same power as you do, but we will find our own strength. We will fight alongside you, not as rivals, but as comrades."
The group stood together, a united front against the darkness that threatened to consume their world. They vowed to protect the innocent, to bring justice to those who deserved it, and to never lose sight of the bonds that held them together.

As the sun set on the island paradise, Kevin and Dracomon felt a renewed sense of purpose. They knew that their journey would be difficult, filled with trials and tribulations. But with their newfound understanding of strength and the support of their friends, they were ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
And so, they set off into the horizon, their hearts filled with hope and determination. As they ventured forth, they knew that their story was far from over. The pages of their lives were yet to be written, and together, they would create a tale of courage, friendship, and the power of standing up for what was right.
So it was, that they were there, still sad and all alone on the beach, wanting someone to take care of them.
"Kevin!"
They looked up startled and there before they were Captain Menoa's kindhearted adoptive brother, Lieutenant Little Ben Healy—the Wonderbolt ambassador, who is with his partner, Hackmon, bright and lovely in the sea.
"Hackmon and I have been watching you from the sea and Wendy and SooLingmon told us what happened about how you betrayed your own family and we both feel very bad for it," said Lieutenant Ben. "Although we must take you and Dracomon home each ninth day we'll still make you a new leader of the Wonderbolts. Any your dream will be greater than all the magic of the world."
And He and Hackmon took Kevin and Dracomon by each hand and together they walked quietly into the sand.

Let us visit that Wonderbolt Academy once more, at merry Christmas time. See Meiko and Alex kiss under the mistletoe along with Meicoomon and Pulsemon, surrounded by the Digi-Cutie Mark Crusaders and the other kids with their Digimon partners. Captain Menoa, Lieutenant Ben, and their partners are watching each couple, with love and pride in their eyes. And watching the Crusaders and some others every bit as proudly—are Wendy and Kevin and their partners—SooLingmon and Dracomon.
