After packing everything up they were in the Jeep and heading back towards the main road when instead Korra took a sharp left into some thick brush before coming out on a dirt road.
After a few bumpy minutes they pulled into an opening that revealed a beautifully untouched section of beach. Korra put the Jeep in park before hopping out and making her way to Asami's side. Opening the door for her."Wow this is beautiful" Asami commented while still taking in the view.
They had their own little secret beach with a wall of massive cliffs off to one side.
"Yeah is it" Korra smiled as she watched.
Asami turned and Korra caught herself, clearing her throat.
"Not a lot of people know about this place".
Korra made her way to the back of the Jeep and dropped the tailgate for Naga.
"So it's just a quick hike to get to the cliff. But I have to leave Naga down here".
She scratched Nagas ears and Asami gave her a questioning look. Korra chuckled.
"I made the mistake of taking her up with me once. She ended up jumping too. Scared the hell out of me. She was completely fine of course". She held both sides of Nagas face and scratched. "But I decided that I would never like to go through that again."
Naga woofed almost in agreement before jumping down.
Asami pulled back on her tank top as Korra gave Naga instructions to stay before they started heading up the path. Once at the top Korra made her way to the edge.
"Do you want to look out first or...?"
Asami shook her head. "What do I need to know?"
Korra smiled.
"Well make sure to get a good running start. When you hit the edge, push off as hard as you can. That way you avoid the rocks. And then after that just make sure to relax and take a deep breath before you hit the water. Simple."
Asami flexed her hands trying to work out the nerves building. "Yeah simple."
Korra stepped to the side giving Asami a straight shot to the edge.
"Whenever you're ready." Asami's eyes went wide.
"Wait, you aren't going with me? I thought you would jump with me."
Korra chuckled. "Yeah I can. I just wasn't sure."
She stepped next to Asami.
"Ready?"
Asami reached out and took her hand before nodding. Korra shot her a grin before counting down. At three they took off. Hand in hand towards the edge before pushing off as hard as possible.
Asami couldn't really describe how incredible those few seconds felt before she started to drop. The weightlessness. Then came the gut clenching feeling of dropping. She sucked in a deep breath before the water enveloped her.
She broke the surface with a gasp before turning to look for Korra. Panic started to set in as she turned, still seeing no sign of her. Then the surface of the water broke behind her. Spinning she found Korra laughing as she pushed some strands of wet hair out of her face.
"So what did you think?"
Asami lunged forward, wrapping Korra in a hug.
"I can't believe I just did that! That was incredible! You are incredible!"
But then Asami pulled away.
"I feel like I need to apologize for the other night. At the frat party. I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable."
