In a cliché moment, I would have felt time stand still. The world would stop spinning as I focused on his words. But sadly, no...

I didn't waste any time. Without hesitation, I grabbed his collar and crashed my lips to his.

And in another cliché moment, he would have kissed me back with the same amount of passion. But sadly, yet again, no....

He pushed me away with a terrified look plastered on his face. He backed away from me and I couldn't do anything as I watch him leave the bed hurriedly.

"A-Akashi, I'm sorry." I apologized but flinched when he closed the door rather loudly.

"Akashi..."

I sprung to my feet as I left the room and followed him. He took long fast strides despite his lack of requirement in the height department.

"Wait." I said as I somehow managed to catch with him.

I was panting when I reached out my hand to make him turn around and face me.

And damn did I regret that.

Akashi had little to no tears in his eyes, but they were there. It was visible due to the light that emanated from above us.

-Akashi's POV-

Damn it. Damn it all.

"Are you crying? I'm sorry!" she voiced out of her shock but I only shook my head at her.

I turned around once again to leave and frantically blinked to remove the tears that managed to place themselves in the corner of my eyes.

She followed after me in silence as we walked down the stairs together. I couldn't see her but I know that she has her head hung low. She always does that if she feels guilty.

I furrowed my eyebrows as I thought about what I said aloud a while ago. I was only thinking it, I didn't realize that I said it aloud. I lost control, damn it. I messed up.

"Akashi-sama, dinner is served." One of the few maids that I allowed in the mansion, Tina, bowed politely.

I didn't reply as I went and took my seat. I looked up to see her still standing in her position unsure what to do.

"Uh, I just realized. I n-need to go home. It's getting dark." She stumbled at her own words. l fought the urge to roll my eyes at her as I pointed the chair next to me.

She bit her lip before she slowly took her seat next to me. I ignored her fidgeting and gestured for the maids to leave and they bowed before leaving us alone.

I brought up the spoon to my mouth without paying any attention to her who was just staring down at her food.

"You don't like it?" I asked attempting to make light conversation with her even though it was futile.

"Ah!? No, I just..." she bit her lip without saying anything as she stared down at her food.

"I'll drive you home after we eat. You haven't eaten all day." I said and she looked up before nodding.

She started eating her food and I gave my attention back to mine. We ate in deafening silence and as soon as I finished I stood up from my seat.

"I'll see you outside. Better hurry up, you said you need to go home." I said before closing the door behind me.
