I looked at the blood red roses that I placed in the vase. I read the note over and over again but the fluttering in my stomach never seized.

I kissed the note as I placed it under my pillow before I go to sleep.

-

I woke up with the sunlight hitting my eyes. I smiled as I reached under my pillow and brought the card out and read it again.

I got out of the bed and went straight to the bathroom. After showering, I wore my Rakuzan uniform before checking my phone.

 From: Yameshi

'Hey. I won't be able to go to school today. I'm staying with Kise, he's finally conscious.'

To: Yameshi

'Congrats! I guess I'll be a little lonely today. Say hi to Kise-kun for me!'

From: Yameshi

'I will. Don't worry, I'll be back in school tomorrow. Then I'll borrow your notes!'

I placed the phone down as I prepared my breakfast. I feel really positive today, maybe it's because of that note.

I went out of the house very early and started the long walk to school.

-

I went inside the classroom to see Akashi playing shogi by himself. I placed my bag down and looked around to see no sign of Aseni. I approached Akashi and sat across him. He looks as serious as ever.

"Hey." I said as I looked at him. He raised his head to look at me.

"What are you doing here?" he questioned maintaining his cold and monotone voice.

"Let's play shogi." I stated.

"Why should I play with someone I beat a lot of times?" he questioned even though he was already rearranging the pieces from the start.

"Are you saying that Aseni already beat you once?" I said. He looked into my eyes making me feel inferior. Heterochromatic eyes, they're beautiful.

"No." he stated before looking down at the shogi board in restart.

"How about a bet? To make this more interesting."  Whoa, did I just say that?

"What kind of bet?" he asked.

"The winner gets to order the loser one thing. Anything." I stated and he slightly smirked.

"Sure." He said as I drew the first move.

With intense focus and concentration, we battled on the board. It was still early so only a few people were here but they were staring.

I examined the pieces and then realized I've been pushed in a corner. He smirked at me as I grew worried.

   And with one last move...

"I resign." I said as I looked down not able to look up to him. There really is no way I can defeat Akashi.

"About that bet." He said. I looked up to see him looking at me with a smirk.

"Yeah. What's your order. I'll do anything." I said looking away and crossing my arms.

"Meet me at dismissal in the gym and I'll tell you." He said. I looked at him confused before I went to my seat leaving him again to play shogi by himself.

That's weird. Aseni isn't here today. I was planning to approach her about David.

-

It was dismissal time and here I am on my way to the gym. I hear the squeaking of shoes and the sound of the ball being dribbled as I got nearer.

I entered the gym and immediately everyone stopped moving to look at me.

"You're here." I looked at Akashi approaching.

"Just sit there and watch us practice." He ordered while pointing at the benches. I sat down as Akashi ordered everyone to resume.

I watched them practice just as he told me. But most of my attention was on him. He was amazing. The way he does everything that he does is just amazing.

An hour passed and everyone was panting.

"That's it for today." Akashi said as he panted. Everyone else went to the boy's locker room to refresh and change themselves but Akashi approached me and sat beside me.

He was panting, his arms rested on his knees.

"Pass me the towel." He said and I took a towel and a bottle of water and handed it to him. He took the towel and placed it around his neck.

We stayed like that for a while. Everyone else has gone home and we were the only ones left. It's getting pretty late. I wonder why I have to meet him here.

Then he stood up and removed the towel from his neck. I watched him in shock when he suddenly removed his shirt to reveal his amazing upper body.

"W-what are you doing?" I asked as I ogled at his abs.

"You're not covering you're eyes, which means you like what you see." He said as he turned around. He took the ball from the floor and started shooting.

" So... what? Are you going to keep practicing or are you going to tell me what your order is?" I stood up and approached him. He turned around to face me.

"Sing for me." He deadpanned.

"W-what? " I said in surprise. He wants me to sing for him?

"I told you to sing for me. Is there a problem?" he looked at me.

"N-No. Uh, what do you want me to sing for you?" I asked.

"Anything." He shrugged as he threw another shot.

I thought about it before I started the first verse of one of the most cliché songs.

"Heart beats fast

Colors and promises

How to be brave

How can I love

When I'm afraid

To fall

Watching you stand alone

One step closer

I have died everyday

Waiting for you

Darling don't be afraid

I have loved you for a thousand years"

I stopped when Akashi looked at me with a sad face. He walked towards me as I stayed still. He caressed my cheek while looking straight in my eyes. Time seemed to stop when we stared at each other.

" That's all." He suddenly turned around and took his bag. I watched as he wore a new shirt before walking away. I was about to run to him when he said something that stopped me.

   "Don't. Run. After. Me."
