As I got ready for school I couldn't help but feel excited about what might happen today.
He didn't say exactly where we would be going, but I'm anticipating something fun.
After doing my morning routine, I checked myself out in the mirror.
I decided to dress up a little more than usual today, seeing that I'm going out after school.
I wanted to look decent.
I replaced my usual ripped jeans with a black leggings, pairing it with an oversized white dress shirt that I tied at the front.
Just to make it look a bit sexier.
Looking over at my bathroom counter. I saw the single rose that I kept from the bunch.
I texted Kia after Kimalie left and told her to come and get the other roses.
It was the only white rose in the bunch, and since I couldn't have kept all of them, I took this single one.
Getting my phone, I took up the rose and snapped a simple mirror picture.
Just a memory that it existed before it dies.
Satisfied with everything, I finally grabbed by bag and headed to the living room.
As I entered, I saw my mom ogling me.
"Yesterday your hair was a big fluff and today it's straight." She huffed.
"Nah wild yuh eno likkle girl. Just mek sure seh yuh nah bring that Kia girl or whoever else inna me house."
Deciding not to answer, I walked over to the kitchen for a little snack to eat on the bus.
"Fuss mi eva see you dressy fi gah school, much less suh early inna the morning." My mother said, looking up at me from over her glasses.
"Mi have a early lecture today." I stated, avoiding her first comment.
"Alright, just make sure yah put mi hard earned money to good use, and see yuh money fi the day yah." She said, bringing her newspaper to her face.
