The final bell of the school year rang, echoing through the hallways of Maplewood High. Students poured out of classrooms, laughter and excitement filling the air as summer approached. Among them was Y/N, her backpack slung over one shoulder, a bright smile on her face. But across the hallway, Leehan stood, watching her with an intensity that he thought he could hide.
For the entire year, he had admired her from afar, captivated by her laughter and kindness. He often found himself lost in thought, staring at her when she was unaware. Yet, each time their eyes met, a wave of insecurity washed over him. "She's out of my league", he thought, the familiar ache of longing tugging at his heart.
Leehan had convinced himself that
Y/N didn't see him the way he saw her. She was popular, funny, and effortlessly charming. In contrast, he was just another guy in the crowd, too shy to make a move. Whenever their gazes lingered, he felt a rush of hope, only to be met with doubt. "What would she want with someone like me?"
Meanwhile, Y/N often caught herself glancing at Leehan during class. She admired his quiet confidence and the way he always seemed lost in thought. "He's so different from the others", she mused. Each time their eyes met, her heart raced, but she never had the courage to approach him. "He probably doesn't even notice me", she thought, unaware of the truth.
As the school year progressed, their unspoken connection deepened. They exchanged lingering glances in the cafeteria, shared shy smiles during class, and felt the electricity in the air whenever they were near each other. Yet, neither of them dared to break the silence.

On the last day of school, Y/N felt a mix of excitement and sadness. She was looking forward to summer but couldn't shake the feeling that she had missed something important. As she walked through the hallways, she spotted Leehan leaning against a locker, his eyes focused on the ground.
Taking a deep breath, she felt a surge of determination. "What if I just said hi?" But before she could approach him, a group of friends pulled her into a conversation, and she lost her chance.
Leehan watched from a distance, his heart sinking as he saw her laugh with her friends. "She's so happy. I shouldn't interfere." But the thought of never telling her how he felt gnawed at him. He glanced at the clock, knowing this was it-the last chance to say something before they parted ways for the summer.

As the final moments of school ticked away, Leehan made a decision. He pushed himself off the locker and walked toward Y/N, his heart pounding in his chest. Just as he reached her, she turned to leave, her friends surrounding her.
"Y/N!" he called out, but the noise of the bustling hallway drowned his voice. She didn't hear him.
He took a step forward, desperation rising within him. "Y/N!" he tried again, but she was already moving away, laughter trailing behind her.
Leehan's heart sank. He stood there, feeling the weight of missed opportunities pressing down on him. He watched as Y/N disappeared into the crowd, his stomach twisting with regret.

The school year ended with a flurry of excitement, but for Leehan, it felt hollow. He had let his chance slip away, and now he was left with nothing but unspoken words and a heavy heart.
Y/N, too, felt a sense of loss as she walked out of the school for the last time. She had wanted to say something, to bridge the gap between them, but the moment had passed, and now it felt too late.
As summer began, both Y/N and Leehan moved on with their lives, but the memory of their lingering glances haunted them. They never spoke, never acknowledged the connection that had been so palpable yet so fragile.
Time went on, and the school year faded into memory, but the ache of what could have been lingered in their hearts. They would always wonder if things could have been different, if they had just found the courage to speak.

A/n !
So, this is how my original love story is like. Very..something I'll treasure? I don't know. School is almost ending now and we had not talked to each other. Just lingering glances nothing else. I really wish go talk to him. My friends had got a chance to talk to him yet me.. I'm just here staring at the back of his head like a creep 😭
