Unrequited love; leehan

ever felt that feeling where you are in love with someone who doesn't love you? If you ever there is a term for that thing is "unrequited love". The name itself sounds hurting but loving someone does give happiness. A one sided one though.

"I guess this the last time I'll call you my girlfriend" leehan says laughing midway as it was sarcasting at some point. Leehan and y/n were dating eachother. Not because they liked eachother but leehan wanted to get his crush like him. So they entered this relationship to get his crush to like him. Atleast that's what he called it.

Y/n humed playing with her food using her chopsticks. Leehan smiled while eating food. He seemed happy with everything while y/n gloomy and dull. It felt like she lost her spark. What could she do when she liked him? She couldn't just sit and watch her crush and his crush be in a relationship as she moves on from him. Isn't it impossible to move on from a person you have been loving for a ling period of time?

Everything became even harder for her after she entered this fake relationship with him. Every moment she spent with him, everytime she smiled while having fun with him she had to give herself a reality check that this had a end. Her happiness with leehan was always short-lived.

"Yah! Why are you not eating? Is this not tasty?" Leehan asked taking another bite of his food as y/n finally took a bite of her food as she shooks her head smiling a bit to reassure him.  And how leehan acted with her didn't help her. What could she do if he acted like he was really in love with her when he wasn't? He always gave her the wrong signal.

"Yah! If you are facing any difficulties you can talk with me.. you know? Just like how you comfort me... I can comfort you too" he says comfortingly as he looks at her. His mouth full with the food he was eating as y/n giggles looking at him. He looked like a goofball. So cute!

"It just I'll  comfort you out of love while you will comfort me do it out of sympathy.." she thought while eating her food as she gives  him a weak smile when he looked at her.

Leehan furiously walked to where y/n must be. He didn't know where she was, but he knew that she has been hiding things from him for a while. He clenched his fist as he entered her classroom. School has finished and now the students in-charge of cleaning were doing their duty.

"I like you seolmin-ah!"

"Leehan... I-I-I can't like you!"

"Why?"

"Y/n likes you"

Seolmin's voice running in his head. He couldn't think of anything else. He just wanted to get to y/n talk about it. He felt hurt knowing that she agreed to date him just for her own greed.

"Yah! l/n y/n we need to talk" he said, his sharp gaze instantly making y/n nervous. She nodded keeping aside the broomstick she had in hand as she nervously gulped. Leehan agressively grabbed her hand and pulled her outside, y/n winced in pain as she tried to loose his grip around her wrist.

"Yah!  Leehan.." she says as he halts. Leehan looks at her teary eyed. He looked hurt and she didn't like it. Before she could comfort him he said.

"Why do have to like me?" He looked at her, tears rolling down her face as y/n parted her lips to say something but she couldn't. She reached out her to his face trying to wipe his tears. He tossed it quite pissed at her now.

"Leehan I-I-I am-"

"Why!?" He said, his voice now getting louder as she looked down at her feet now. They were genuine. Her feelings for him were genuine.  She liked him dearly. But seeing him pissed at her genuine feelings for him upsets her.

"They are genuine.... I-I-I like you.." She said still looking down at her feet. Now she was tearing up too. She told him that she liked him yet it went nothing like she wanted. She was not giggling like she planned. She was not kissing him. She was not hugging him or holding his hand. She was crying because she couldn't get him the person she liked. Nothing's goes like we plan. Neither life nor love.

"Why!?" He shouted. She looked at him teary eyed. She gets it that seolmin said she can't like him because she likes him but did she said that she liked leehan.

"Stop liking me!" He continued

"They are genuine not stupid leehan" she snapped back at him. Leehan scoffed at her taking step closer to her.

"WHY DO YOU HAVE TO LIKE ME!?" he shouted teary eyed. Y/n stumbled on her feet as he shouted. He looked scary when he shouted.

Y/n slapped leehan her eyes piercing his soul as she looked at him.

"I regret liking you leehan my feelings were genuine not some stupid bullshit" Leehan caressed his cheeks coming back reality over how much he had hurted y/n.

"I-I am sorry y/n.. I shouldn't ha-" y/n sighed cutting him off as she looked at him.

"I don't need your apology and like you said I'll stop liking you" y/n aid walking away from him.
