BOOK #1 SOMETHING SERIES
Tropes: Crush to Lovers, Love Marriage, Businessman × Teacher, Love Before Marriage, Online Friends to Soulmates, Best Friend's Brother...etc.
Garv is a man who values his independence and believes that marriage isn't meant...
Riya was entering the engagement venue's gate when she accidentally bumped into a tall guy. "Aauch... who is it now?" she exclaimed.
"Oh wow, you... you never miss a chance to come near me, do you?" Rishabh said with a teasing tone.
"Wow, you... I can't understand why people think I'm obsessed with them," Riya retorted.
"I don't know about others, but I know that you're really obsessed with me," Rishabh said, wearing a fake smile.
"You know what? I hate everyone," Riya said.
"Except me, right?" Rishabh countered.
"Especially you," Riya shot back. Rishabh, noticing an opportunity, slowly moved closer to her.
"Oh, you hate me... As far as I know, you can't even stay away from me for two seconds," he said, grabbing her wrist and pulling her slightly closer.
"Let go of my hand... And as for liking or not liking, you're not even my type and you can't become one... Look, Monika is coming," Riya said, trying to sound confident. Hearing Monika's name, Rishabh released her hand—but when he looked back, Monika wasn't there. Miss Rival had lied. Clever as she was, today he decided, he would teach her a lesson she wouldn't forget. The question remained: how?
AT VAISHNAV'S HOUSE...
All the family members were having dinner together at the table. "Mamu, can I ask you a question, please?" Aarush piped up.
"Yeah, of course, go ahead," Vaibhav and Garv replied.
"What's lacking in both of you?" Aarush asked innocently. "What the fu—hell?" Vaibhav exclaimed, shocked.
"And why do you feel that?" Garv asked, amused. "Because mummy and Nani were talking to each other, saying that if someone has any shortcomings, they won't get married..." Aarush explained.
"Aaru... it was only for that girl who talks to new boys every day, and it's the same for boys too..." Muskan clarified. "Means?" Aarush asked further.
"Means that if you marry a girl in the future and talk to other girls besides her, it's considered a shortcoming," Muskan explained.
"Oh... means cheating," Aarush said, finally understanding.
"Yeah, cheating is something many people do nowadays with their partners... which is not a good thing at all," Garv said seriously.
"Okay, then from now on, I won't talk to any girl except my future wife," Aarush declared. Everyone at the table laughed at his innocent determination.
DELHI, ENGAGEMENT VENUE
"Wow beta, the ring is really beautiful," Anika commented, admiring the engagement ring.
"Thanks, aunty," Archit replied with a smile. "Oh, since it's the engagement today, now you can call me 'mummy'," Anika added, laughing warmly.
