I was sitting in my room, writing in my diary. Sundays were the only days I had time to pour my heart out on paper, as the rest of the week was busy with shoots. As I closed my diary, my mom called me downstairs for dinner. I made my way to the dining table and took my seat. Serving myself, I joined my parents for the meal.

During dinner, my parents started discussing my cousin Shanvi's wedding. I listened attentively to their conversation. Suddenly, my dad said he wanted to discuss something with me. I replied with a smile, "Sure, Papa."

He then dropped a bombshell. "Actually, we have chosen a guy for you," he said.

I was completely shocked by his words. Before I could say anything, my mom interjected, "We know, dear... but this marriage proposal is from the same family, the Banaras family. However, this time they want you to marry the younger one."

I couldn't believe it. How could those people think that just because I rejected the older one, I would be interested in the younger one? It made me furious. I couldn't bear it any longer, so I abruptly left the dining room, announcing, "I am done."

I stormed into my room and collapsed onto my bed. The frustration and anger consumed me. It felt like my wishes and desires were being completely disregarded. I needed time alone to process everything that had just happened.

PAST....
Pratha's POV:
I was at Riya's house, surrounded by a deep sadness that had engulfed us all. Today, I lost my best friend. Tears streamed down my face, refusing to cease. I stepped outside, seeking solace in the open air.
