Patch-up

Akshara came to Anaira's room and saw her sitting on the bed with an angry look on her face. She folded her hands in front of her chest and huffed loudly. She is looking so cute right now. Akshara secretly snapped her picture. Then started working on her mission.

She started walking into Anaira's room by stomping her feet. Anaira noticed her mother but didn't say anything to her because she was angry with her right now. Akshara saw her from the side eye. Good, she got her attention. Now, her next target is to console her.

Akshara started moving into the room and collected all her books, art and craft files, colours, and stationery items in a big trolley bag. She then packed her notebooks and uniform In the bag.

"Aap kya kr rhe ho", asked Anaira quietly. Akshara internally cheered that her daughter finally talked to her.

"Packing", replied Akshara sassily.

"But kyun. Woh bhi mere saman ki kyun? Hum kahi ghoomi ghoomi jaa rhe hai kya", asked Anaira.

"Nhi, hum kahi ghoomi ghoomi nhi jaa rhe hai. Aur mai aapki books or other items pack kr rhi hoon", replied Akshu.

"Pr kyun? Aap yeh sab kyun pack kr rhe ho?" Anaira again asked her mother. She then came forward and sat beside the trolley bag.

"Kyuki ab apne padai toh krni nhi hai toh maine socha phir inn books ka kya kaam. Inhe mai apne NGO mai distribute kr doongi", said Akshara but continued doing her work.

"But why? These are my things", Anaira stopped her mother from doing any more packing.

"Kyun? Dekho apne aaj subah hi kha na ki base aap school mai nhi jaoge aur na hi padai karoge", said Akshu making her remember her earlier statement.

"Haa, but aap meri cheezon ko kyun le jaa rhe ho. Mai school nhi jaongi but yeh meri cheezein hai", said Anaira confusedly. She didn't understand why her mother was doing this.

"Acha aap school nhi jaoge toh inn cheezon ka kya karoge. Yeh toh yha par padi hi reh jayegi", said Akshu. Anaira was thinking about what her mother had said. Akshara put the trolley bag on the side and settled down beside her daughter.

"Aap batao abse aap full day kya karoge. Koi plan toh banaya hoga apne na", asked Akshu.

"Kaisa plan?" said Anaira confusedly.

"I mean ab aap school toh nhi jaoge aur padai bhi nhi karoge toh aap kya karoge full day ghar pr. Aap kisi se sath khel bhi nhi sakte kyuki baki sab toh school chale jayenge. Papa bhi hospital chale jayenge aur baki sab bhi apni jobs pr chale jayenge. Toh aap kya karoge", said Akshara. She is pretending to think.

Anaira looked at her mother and thought what she said. It's true, she didn't know what would she do the whole day. School is a big part of her life if she doesn't go there then what would she do?

"Kuch socha aapne?" Akshara asked her again. But Anaira had no answer to this question. So, she shook her head.

"Ohhoo, mujhe toh koi idea hi nhi aa rha hai. Aap kya hi karoge", said Akshu. She left Anaira there, thinking about what would she do if she didn't go to school.

She again started packing her items in the bag when Anaira stopped her. "Stop, mumma. Aap yeh sab pack mat karo. Mera saman kisi ko dene ki zaroorat nhi hai", said Anaira.

Akshara stopped whatever she was doing and looked at her daughter. "But kyu, aap toh school nhi jaoge na abse toh phir iss saman ki kya zaroorat hai", asked Akshara.

"Nhi mai school jaoongi. Aap mera saman mat pack kro. Mai school jaoongi", said Anaira in a determined voice.

"Pr apne subah toh kha tha na ki aap ab se school nhi jaoge na hi padai karoge", said Akshara.

"Woh sab maine gusse mai keh diya tha. Mai jaoongi school aur padai bhi karoongi", said Anaira. BINGO. Akshara fist pumped in the air. Her mission is successful. Now, some final touch is left.

She sat beside her daughter and put her in her lap. Anaira also came in her lap without any struggle. "Mumma ne bhi kl jo bhi bola gusse mai bola tha betu. Mumma was very upset and angry with you that's why mumma shouted at you", Akshara put her point of view in front of Anaira.

"Mumma, aapko pta hai ab sab mera mazak udayenge. Ruhi didi bhi, Shivu bhaiya bhi aur Abhir bhaiya bhi", said Anaira with teary eyes.

"I know Aanu. Mumma is sorry, betu. Mumma ko apko sabke samne aise hi daant na chahiye tha. But mumma ko gussa aa gya aur unhone aisa kr diya. I am so sorry, betu", said Akshara sincerely and asked forgiveness from her daughter by holding her ears.

"I am sorry too mumma", said Anaira. She too held her ears and asked forgiveness from her mother. Akshara hugged her daughter and both of them patched up.

"Aanu, apne mumma se test paper kyun chupaya betu", asked Akshara.

"Mai darr gyi thi mumma. Mujhe lga aap mujhe bahut maroge", said Anaira slowly.

"Nhi, betu aisa nhi hai. Haa mumma padai ko lekar thodi strict hai. Pr woh aapko kabhi nhi maregi. I promise. Mumma ne aaj tak kabhi aapko mara hai kya", asked Akshara. Anaira shook her head.

"Mumma, bahut hurt huyi jab unhone woh paper dekha. Mujhe lga ki jaise meri Aanu ab mujhse pyar nhi krti isiliye usne mujhse jooth bola", said Akshara and a tear slipped from her eye.

"No mumma, aisa nhi hai. I love you so much. Aap aise ro mat. I am sorry maine aapse jooth bola. Woh meri friend ne bataya tha ki usne bhi aise hi jooth bola tha aur kisi ko pta nhi lga. Maine bhi jooth isiliye bola taki aap hurt na ho. Mai aapko hurt nhi krna chahti thi", said Anaira. She clearly explained her situation to her mother.

"Aww, mera bacha. Mumma apke kam marks lane se kabhi hurt nhi hogi. Mumma jab aap jooth bologe tab hurt hogi", said Akshara and hugged her daughter tightly. Anaira, too hugged her mother and both of them resolved their issues.

"I am sorry mumma, maine apko bad bola. Aap bad nhi ho. Aap toh world ki best mumma ho", said Anaira.

"Mumma is sorry too Aanu. Aap bhi world ki best daughter ho", said Akshara. She then started giving open mouth kisses to Anaira and she laughed loudly.

After getting their breaths back, Akshara asked for a promise from her daughter. "Promise me, Aanu aaj se aap kabhi bhi mumma se jooth nhi bologe".

"I promise mumma. I will never lie to you. I will always tell you the truth", promised Anaira. Akshara smiled and kissed her daughter happily. 

"I love you", both of them said it together. They laughed loudly at their goof-up.

"Aaja ab tera room phir se settle kre", said Akshara. Anaira nodded and both of them started settling her books again on the shelf.

Akshara looked at her husband who was standing at the door looking at the mother-daughter duo. Akshara winked at her husband. Abhimanyu gives a flying kiss to her. She is their family's pillar. She will always make things right. His father is absolutely right, "Akshara can solve any problem". Akshara captures that flying kiss and mouthed 'I love you' to her husband. He mouthed it back. 

After this, both mother and daughter settled in Anaira's room and talked with each other for the whole day. They finally patched up with each other.
