Abhira is sitting in the hospital waiting for any news on their daughter's health. Tears were flowing out from their eyes. They are cursing themselves for neglecting their daughter. They should intervene early on. They knew something was going on with their daughter but still refused to work on it. They thought she was going on with some normal pre-teens phase but they didn't know it was that serious. Their daughter slit her nerves for god sake.
"Akshu, why did she do this?" mumbled Abhi.
Akshara put her head on his shoulders and intertwined her fingers with his. "I don't know Abhi. I don't know", she whispered. They don't know what led their daughter to take such an extreme step.
"Dr. Birla", came a voice of the doctor. Abhira quickly stood up waiting to hear about their daughter.
"How is Aaira, Dr. Sinha?" asked Abhimanyu quickly.
"She is fine Dr. Birla. Thankfully, the cut on her wrist is not that deep. We do not need any stitches on it. But she is severely dehydrated. It's like she has been avoiding to take food for many days", the good doctor tells them. Akshara bit her lip tightly to hold on to a sob. Her daughter is starving herself and she didn't know that.
"Physically she will be fine after a day or two. But mentally I am not sure. She has tried to attempt suicide. She is not fine mentally. I suggest you guys to consult this issue with the psychologist as soon as possible", the doctor advised her. Abhimanyu nodded his head. He thanked the doctor.
"Abhi!" whispered Akshara. Abhi opened his arms and Akshara quickly embraced him by sitting on his lap. They both were bawling their eyes out for their daughter. Children are parents' lives and if something happened to them it feels like the end of the world.
"Akshu, meri Aaira is facing so much and hume kuch pta bhi nhi chala", said Abhi. Akshara had no answer to this. She just embraced her husband more tightly and cried. She cried harder than before.
"Akshu, Abhi", called Harsh from behind. He took a seat beside them. He also had tears in his ears. His granddaughter committed suicide. It shook him and the whole family to the core. "Beta, I can't imagine what you guys are feeling right now. Mai kuch bhi kahoonga woh sahi nhi hoga. Bas mai yhi keh sakta hoon ki right now we should think about Aaira only. She needs us more than ever now. We should talk with the psychologist and ask her how to move forward from this. Our whole energy should be on treating Aaira only".
Abhira nodded their heads. They got up and met with the best child psychologist in the hospital regarding Aaira's condition. They discussed the Aaira's case and concluded that they would wait for the Aaira to get up and see how she reacted. They would not force her to tell anything. They will give her the space that she needs. They would wait for her to open up.

Abhira was in Aaira's room waiting for her to wake up. The room was so silent.
"Ummm, wa...t...er", Aaira's voice broke the silence of the room. Abhimanyu got up quickly and fetched water for his daughter.
"Aairu, pani baby", he said to her while putting a glass of water in front of her face. Akshara quickly put a straw in the glass so that Aaira could easily drink the water. Aaria drank the water and looked at her parents' face. Their eyes are red. They have looked very tired, too tired for Aaira's liking. Akshara's shoulders are sagged like she has no energy left in her body and Abhimanyu has wrinkles on his face.
"Aairu, do you want to sit up bacha", asked Akshara slowly. Aaira nodded her head. She quickly put the pillow behind her daughter so that she could sit up straight. Abhi fluffed up her blankets.
"Are you Okay, princess?" asked Abhi. Aaira nods. She is waiting for them to ask questions from her, but to her surprise, they have asked no questions from her.
