The Unintentional Hit

Vada Pav Date

As the mehendi programme comes to an end, Rayan invited Aravi for a date which she first hesitated but got convinced by Ahana. Ahana had to convince because she had promised Rayan.

Aravi's POV

"Finally we are on our first official date" I squealed while Rayan pulls the chair across his seat for me.

"Yeah.. finally!" Rayan says. "Thank you." He held my hands. "Woh kisliye" I ask. Rayan squeezed my hands and pressed his lips on my knuckles.
"Mujhe apnane ke liye" He smiles.

Aww, his smile is so contagious that it melts my heart very easily. I suddenly feel hot and realised upon glancing at the phone screen that my cheeks are flushed. I patted my cheeks to calm down and finally asked him for the food.

He handed me the menu and seeing all these fancy names, I felt so uneducated for the first time.. because I never heard or tried any of these recipes and dishes.

From childhood I was never interested in eating all these fancy things instead i always opted for samosa, chaat, panipuri, chai, momos, and other street foods.

"Mr Mathur?"

"Hmm?"

"I am sorry.." I mumbled under my breath.

He looks up at me confusedly but then he stood up and came to me.

"This seems boring.. wanna have an adventure?" He winks.

"Adventure?" I asked.

"I never tried street foods... hope you are not offended.." He said sheepishly.

"I know.. not a new information though"
I said with a little offended tone.

"I want to go to the street stalls and wanna have a Vada pav .. with you."

My eyes lit up ,"Really?" my mouth widen with a grin. 

"Yeah lets go" He held my hand and took to the exit of restaurant. The inner child within me was excited as hell and at the same time the author within me was too proud of myself. The girl who wrote love stories is now living her own love story.

Soon we reached to the nearby stalls but he kept walking so I snapped him. "Mujhe kaha leke jaa rahe ho ?" No reply came from him instead he took me to the parking plot past the stalls and asked me to get me in.  

"Look you have said me you will be treating me something good street food but if this is some sort of prank you are pulling I swear i won't hesitate to fight with you again" I warned him but it didn't effect him. Instead he ignited the engine and started to turn round the steering wheel."

The car came into motion, and after a hour when we were still on the car, my eyes fell heavy and eventually I fell asleep.

But I didn't knew, that something was coming up, I knew something he has planned but this i didn't expected.

When I woke up and opened my eyes, the view infront me was majestic. Couldn't believe it, I washed my eyes to make sure I am really awake and sober and not daydreaming. And it was really a beautiful place I ever visited.

“Wow!” i squealed.

We were standing on a bridge over a fresh lake as the sun was going to set, the sky transformed into a breathtaking canvas of colors. I felt very good as the sounds of waves echoed to my ears, the birds flying making it more lively. The sun slowly descended towards the horizon, casting its warm, amber glow across the landscape.
