"How will you do that?" I asked, sounding so paranoid, like I was about to shoot someone.

"Bloody hell." He said as he got closer to me.

As he got closer, I could feel his hand coming up to mine as our fingers interlinked. I held on tight, it felt like his fingers would fall off.

After a few seconds of no one talking, he spoke, "Just don't-" he started before getting interrupted.

"Shit!" I screeched as he quickly put a hand over my mouth. I was so scared of everything right now.

"Just don't be loud." He finished, sighing slightly.

I held on even tighter to his fingers. His grip was calm yet slightly tight, but mine.. you would've thought I was gonna get killed, oh, wait.

"Look.. since your stressed and I'm awake just.. go to sleep." He said, sounding a little hesitant at first but then gaining confidence in his words.

After I didn't respond for a few seconds and my eyes were still wide, he groaned slightly.

"Promise to keep a secret?" He asked me.

My head turned to his, my eyes still wide slightly as I glanced at our surroundings every few seconds, not saying anything.

"Use words." He growled out.

"Promise." My voice slightly shaky but mostly paranoid.

With that, he picked me up and set me down in his arms, my hands on his chest. What was he thinking?

"You better keep that damn promise." He grumbled.

I didn't say anything about that, I didn't look scared anymore. I was just so shocked that I just looked up at him as we stared at each other for a few minutes, his expression unreadable like always.

I still wasn't able to sleep but I was calmer now, I don't know how he did it but he did.

"Thank you.." I whispered, barely audible.

"Yeah yeah." He grumbled as he held onto me snugly.

I was just so confused though, why? Why would he help me? Why would he hold me in his arms? Why would he act like this when I knew tomorrow he would be the same cold person. Why was he playing with my feelings like this.

I also don't know how, but I fell asleep after awhile. It's like he was magic, I was so surprised on what he did that night that I don't think I would ever forget, I would keep it a secret though, of course.
