Victoria's POV

Vin confidently uttered in Korean, "You'll regret disrespecting my people, you bastard." Emilio, bewildered, exclaimed, "Did you just curse at me?!"As we stood up, his guard heightened.

With a smirk, I knew what was about to unfold. Suddenly, helicopters flew overhead, dousing the yard with gasoline. Walking forward, Vin handed me a lighter, signaling our next move.

With a mischievous grin, I ignited it, mirroring his actions. I felt relieved, knowing we were finally free from our father's missions. Now, we're on our own, and it feels incredible.

As we happily skipped towards the car, our good friend Luca took the wheel. Feeling a bit restless, I couldn't help but ask, "What's next?" But then, something caught my attention. He turned towards me, his eyes filled with doubt.

Sensing his hesitation, I encouraged him, "Just say it, Vin." And that's when he uttered those words that would change everything, "I want you to come with me." Excitement and curiosity filled my mind as I responded, "Sure, but where exactly are we going?" I tilted my head slightly, displaying my confusion.

"Seoul," he replied. My mind raced with thoughts, and I couldn't help but wonder, "Wait, isn't our mother there?" Seeking reassurance, I asked him. Vin quickly reassured me, "Yes, but don't worry, we're not going to see her. Our mission is to find the gold." Suddenly, my eyes lit up with excitement. "Gold?!" I exclaimed, unable to contain my enthusiasm.

Vin nodded, his smirk revealing a shared excitement. "But let's keep it between us for now, only you, Luca, and I should know," he whispered. I nodded in agreement, understanding the need for secrecy.

Taking a deep breath, I voiced my acceptance, "If there's gold involved, then I guess it's worth it." Grateful for the opportunity, I smiled at Vin and said, "Thank you, Vin." He returned the smile, and as fatigue started to set in, I couldn't help but yawn.

Vin noticed my tiredness and suggested, "You can rest your head on my shoulder and sleep. Today has been rough for you." Appreciating his kindness, I murmured a small thank you and followed his suggestion, finding comfort in his presence.

"Vic... Victoria..." I heard Vin's voice calling me, and I slowly woke up from my slumber. "I'm awake," I replied, sitting up straight. And then, out of nowhere, he dropped the bombshell, "Let's go, we're at the airport." My eyes widened in disbelief as I quickly got out of the car to confirm that we were indeed standing in front of the airport. "What?!" I exclaimed, my frustration mounting. "You never mentioned anything about traveling today!" I couldn't help but raise my voice at him.

He just looked at me and burst into laughter. "You-" I caught myself before letting out a string of curses.

Taking a deep breath, I composed myself and asked, "Where's my stuff, at least?" Thankfully, he had brought everything with him. I let out a sigh of relief. "Fine. Let's go." Before I took a step forward, he gestured his arm, and as always, our arms collided together, setting the tone for our adventure.

At the airplane~

I was munching on some seriously delicious food, and it was OMG amazing!

After we finished eating, I found myself gazing out the window, lost in thought. That's when I called out to Vin, even though he was right there next to me on the bed seat.

He gave me this knowing look and said, "I know, and I'll spill all the beans right now."

But hold up, I couldn't just let him go on without questioning it.

I interrupted him and argued, "Wait a minute, you're telling me I have to work with the enemy?" I couldn't wrap my head around it.

But Vin, being the smooth talker he is, reassured me, "Victoria, you're the mastermind here. It's not me. You gotta gather all the deets about what's happening in their company. And in return, you can come to my company anytime and do whatever you want." He had a way with words, I tell ya.

And guess what? After his little chat with Paolo, he took things to the next level. He straight-up destroyed his mobile data and number, and dropped it right into a glass of wine. Talk about making a statement! 🍷

So, after two hours of beauty sleep (because beauty sleep is essential, right?), I slowly opened my eyes and guess who was still wide awake? Yep, you guessed it, Vin! That guy never seems to need much sleep. I mean, he only gets like 4-6 hours, while I need a solid 6-9 hours to function properly.

He greeted me with a smile and said, "Took you long enough." I couldn't help but return the smile, even though I was still feeling a bit groggy. I managed to rasp out a "Good morning" and he informed me that it was 5 am and we would be landing in just half an hour.

Talk about an early start! So, like a little kid, I nodded and followed his instructions to freshen up and get ready for the day ahead.

After what felt like an eternity, we finally wrapped up our "chat" with the passport officer. With that hurdle behind us, we stepped out of the airport, greeted by the refreshing cold breeze of Seoul.

The air was crisp and invigorating, instantly awakening my senses. We gathered our luggage and made our way towards the waiting car.
