Hanseok's POV
I didn't anticipate this happening... Reconnecting with Victoria after two years, having dinner with her and Chae young, and encountering the strange foreign Italian man as well.Additionally, she is employed at my company "Babel," and this is incredibly frustrating. This girl has a knack for noticing everything and detecting every lie I tell, making it impossible for me to hide anything from her.
I sighed in annoyance and drove home, determined to find a solution to this problem without causing a scene.
Once I arrived home, I took a long shower and entered the kitchen to find dinner prepared and my younger brother waiting for me at the dining table.
I rolled my eyes, wondering why he couldn't just leave me alone and let me be.
"What brings you here, dear brother? I've missed you," I greeted him sarcastically, which caused him to flinch.
Amused by his weakness, I ignored him and took my seat at the table.
He attempted to disguise his fear with a forced smile and shaky tone.
I knew he didn't genuinely care about how I had been doing...
I motioned for him to sit and began eating, as he continued with his phony smile.
"I don't want to repeat myself. Why are you here?" I said coldly.
"W-well, there's a new lawyer at your company. She's highly talented and well-known in London," he struggled to speak.
I deadpanned, "I am aware." His stuttering continued, "W-what?"
"I already know her. Why are you telling me this?" I inquired.
"I-I thought you might need to know, considering you're the chairman, sir," he replied.
"Very well, my brother. It seems you've become smarter," I sarcastically complimented him, fully aware that he recognized it as such. However, he kept his composure to avoid provoking my anger.
I decided to address the issue seriously because I didn't want anyone to harm her. I realized that I had to protect her since she was the only one preventing me from harming my brother...
In a flashback:
"Do you have any siblings?" Victoria asked, smiling. I returned the smile and responded."Yes, I have a younger brother who is four years younger than me," I said, with a hint of disgust. I despised my brother.
"Are you not on good terms with your brother?" she innocently asked.
"Not really... I just hate him," I replied honestly. She hummed in response.
"Well, regardless of your feelings, don't hurt him. He's your only family, so make sure he stays well and alive," she advised.
"Why do you care? It's none of your business," I shot back.
"Well, considering I'm your only friend, you should at least listen to me," she retorted.
I sighed and clicked my tongue before saying, "Whatever."
"Siblings are vital in life, especially if you're the older one. You should at least consider taking care of him or not hurting him and allowing him to live peacefully," she explained.
"Yeah... sure, whatever you say," I replied, reluctantly taking her words to heart.
Although I had no intention of taking care of him, I decided to at least stop hurting and scaring him, even though I knew he would still be afraid.
