Vincenzo's POV

She was rushed to the hospital, and there I was with that 'chairman' and Mrs. Cha Young, all seated in the waiting area, anxiously awaiting any updates.

Silence filled the room; Mrs. Cha Young, who was quietly crying earlier, now wiped away her tears. Thank goodness she's friends with my sister.

The 'chairman' sat there, staring at the floor with a furrowed brow, lost in thought. Suddenly, he lifted his head, gazing down at his necklace. He clasped it in both hands, drawing it close to his face, eyes closed in sorrow.

The necklace's strands were thick and silver, adorned with a small light blue gem. That gem... I felt like I had seen it before.

Ah, yes, Victoria was wearing a necklace with a similar gem, though her strands were slender, unlike this one. But the gem itself, it looked identical, aside from the thickness of the strands.

Victoria, sis, please hold on, don't leave me alone. Please fight for your life.

Suddenly, this doctor, around his forties, came over with a serious expression. I jumped up, catching the attention of the others, who quickly followed suit and stood up.

"How is she?" I inquired, my heart racing with worry. The doctor's gaze fell... huh? Did something happen to her? No, that's not it.

"She requires immediate surgery. The wound is severe, and her heart's condition is fragile, affecting her lungs. The injuries on her stomach and chest are straining her lungs. Additionally, her head suffered a hard impact, likely from a collision with a car or similar object. She needs surgery urgently," the doctor explained.

Everything felt like it came to a halt. I needed to snap out of this nightmare! "Will she be okay after the surgery?" I questioned, clinging to hope.

The doctor sighed. "Yes, only if the surgery goes smoothly," he responded, looking down. "What do you mean 'if'? You're a doctor! You must ensure the surgery's success!" the 'chairman' exclaimed in frustration, gripping the doctor's collar.

I intervened, calmingly saying, "Let him be. Just focus on saving her, please, save my sister," I urged the doctor, who nodded after being released by the 'chairman.'

The doctor then requested, "I need you to sign these papers as her guardian," to which I nodded, following him.

He must save her... or else...

...

Hanseo's POV

Victoria's been in the surgery room for two hours now, and we're all still here waiting.

What am I gonna do?! S-She seemed so strong, but now she's hurt, badly.

I closed my eyes tightly, recalling how she looked earlier; it's painful.

The light in the surgery room changed from red to green, indicating the surgery's completion. My heart was racing, wondering, is she okay? Was the surgery a success?

My thoughts were cut short as the doctors emerged, and we all stood up quickly.

"H-How is she?!" We all asked in sync, worry filling our voices. The doctor managed a small smile before replying, "Thankfully, the surgery went well. We had a few complications, but everything's sorted now." A collective sigh of relief echoed through the room.

Wait... complications?! Did that mean she was close to...? Oh my gosh! I have to see her right now!

"Can I see her?" the brother inquired, to which the doctor nodded. "Wait until we transfer her to a room," he instructed, and we all agreed.
