𝗙𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗔𝗥 𝗠𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗖 reverberated around the mikage residence, the easily recognizable christmas songs making her mood much less gloomy.
it was a casual event; close friends, ugly sweaters, carols, and gathering around the christmas tree. however one thing was on her mind like a constant song.
"i wish you were here"
she sighed, sipping her cup of hot chocolate given to her by nagi.
"c'mon n/n, let's do some gingerbread houses."

a tired giant walked through the airport, eagerly yet slowly walking to the shuttles that would then take him to the parking garage his car was stored at.
he didn't really care about his appearance at the moment despite being famous—what he really cared about was seeing the s/c-skinned girl he missed.

she was completely bored, however she attempted to look interested as to not hurt mikage's feelings.
"c'mon guys! it's time to do secret santa!" mikage announced, nagi crouching behind him with a nintendo.
they do say old habits die hard.
as the group of friends (; slursagi, bachibaby, kunibitch, rinnie, mikaghoe, and nagisa,) got in a circle, they began passing the gifts to the people they had been assigned.
the first was bachira, giving his gift to kunigami. the gift wasn't really what kunigami would probably choose, but bachira bought it anyways.
it was a cape—one meant for little children that looked miniature next to the muscly man that held it.
"you better like my gift hero!~" bachira cheered, childishly laughing and poking kunigami as the latter looked back with a deadpanned expression.
this went on, lots of laughs and cheers shared between the group of adults.
"i need to get my gift—i'll be right back." mikage said, sliding away from the circle discreetly after checking his phone.
as nagi nodded in acknowledgment, he began aimlessly talking to his twin about games, "hey n/n, do you play animal crossing?" he asked with a lazy glance.
"nah, you know i rarely use the switch you gifted me sei." she replied dryly, sipping her hot chocolate.
"n/n, close your eyes." mikage said, eagerly waiting to bring out his 'present'.
"oh—you're my secret santa reo?" she answered monotonously. "i don't understand why i need to close my eyes though."
"please close them n/n—he actually has a really good present." nagi added, giving his twin the puppy dog eyes she could never resist.
"fine." she groaned, closing her eyes lazily.
she was then led to another room, the kitchen to be exact. as she sat down on the stool adjacent to the counter.
"d'ya miss me?" a familiar, cocky voice asked from across the room.
she immediately opened her eyes at the sound of shidou's voice, rushing over to the tall man as she tightly hugged his waist.
"i missed you." he said softly, petting her hair as they rocked back and forth in a hug.
"you idiot. you could have called." she complained, voice muffled as her head was buried in his lower chest.
"well then it wouldn't be a surprise." he said with a laugh, tilting her head up with his large tan hands.
"you'll give me a kiss, won't you?" he asked with a grin, planting his lips on hers.
their kiss was passionate and full of longing, the two mouths moving in sync as they kissed slowly.
"best christmas gift ever." she muttered beneath her breath with a light smile.
